No pbjection from me. Everybody seems to use him.

Edit: After reading your post I must say I like the way you've fluffed Kevin's disappearance. Also I might add, that your comment on RPing Randy the way you did, is right on the money. I intended him to be a brake to Erin. Good stuff, can't wait to see more.

Thanks for the kind words!

*shrugs* It happens. Good news though... I now have internet access readily available, so I can rear my ugly head more often on here... *Authoritive voice* "GAME ON!!"

Excellent!

I've almost finished a post for Bertie's first match, hope to get it up before the American weekend is over. :)

Fantastic!! I have no idea how late I'm going to stay up on here trying to catch up and maybe cobbling together something worth posting. But I'll do what I can.

Nice post Sparky!! As some of you may know I have an ongoing love affair with the Blackjack, and I'm thoroughly pleased with seeing one pop up again in the RP. So lets see... 1 (or 2) P-hawks, an Enforcer, my beloved BJ (even if it's the BJ1 model) and an Assassin... *snickers* Can't wait to see the rest.

Hey sorry guys I've been down for five days because we had a massive snow storm come in and basically take any plans I had and tossed them out the window. Back online now though.

@Sparky, you punched out?!?! I didn't see that coming. Certainly refreshing though, but unexpected. Still awesome post.

:)

I've actually had this planned since I started work on Bertie's backstory. I struck me that so many of the characters we here about from Solaris are "winners" and "champions", when in an 8-way free-for-all, you've got one guy who wins, and all the others just walk away. They're still very good pilots, even just making it that far. The person who came third in a karate championship can still kick your butt, and are a more interesting person for that unattained target. I wanted Bertie to be one of the other guys, at least at first.

I have decided on the list of mechs for Jack's big fight. May get around to posting it tonight, but I highly doubt it. Sometime over the weekend is most likely.

Nice post there Sparks, I honestly didn't figure on that, and it was a nice surprise, definitely adds spice to the story.
*waits in anticipation for Rogue's post*

So I just noticed that GW's assassin plot thing happened while Dan and every other tech were working away on Steel Lady completely oblivious to everything that was going on.
I...think the only way I can fix this is to change the timestamp from the 21st to the 23rd, unless Thom has some suggestions.
Also, Thom, you back for good buddy?

Ahhh timestamps. *facepalm*

Yeah I'm back for the most part. Our current internet plan sucks the sweat off a dead man's balls though. And we're already regretting signing a two year contract... Oh well so I'll have to start posting from internet cafe's and places like that.

Steiner Stadium with a moat? *Blinks then shrugs* Ah, what the H3ll, why not?

How come you've such a rubbish contract? Especially so bad as to force you to relocate to get 'net access? Any way to change it?
The Coliseum map in Mechwarrior 4: Mercs featured some arches and railings round the edges, with two ~30m tall walls on each side on the top of two plateaud hills to divide the map into one huge open section and two smaller alleys. The alleys were bordered by a shallow moat, just enough to cover the legs of a light or shins of an assault. Players started just off the moat in each corner. That's the one in most rotations (There were another couple variations) and the one I'll be basing the engagement off of.
Specifically, I intend to set up the builds myself and play it out a few times to get the feel of things, then adapt it for dramatic effect. It's obviously not going to be something I can just copy paste in here (MW4 isn't exactly known for truth to canon) but it'll give ideas and help me keep the map in my head.

As for the contract we agreed to it without fully understanding the terms. I think we may have been blinded by the prospect of having internet again. *shrugs*

As for the Steiner Stadium its been ages since I've played MW4 so I forgot. Ehhh I'm still looking to the post and will try to get something up today, but don't hold me to it.

No worries bud, whenever you can post is all good. What were the terms causing the problem?
