No, he's with John "Probably Killed in an Unfortunate Accident" Reeves. Page 3 of the main thread, if you're looking for the recap.

Bertie's used to fighting with a unit, not going lone wolf, so he'll be looking for support from someone. Alex or Vulpes are currently his most likely targets, but he'd jump at any offer of a team. I figure if he'll probably get an offer after a match, unless player interaction leads him to a team first.

I am not currently with Rainbow Stables... Though Erin is pushing her guys to recruit me. I'm trying to figure out how to work that into my writing. I do see a problem though, my guy doesn't play well with Leaguer's or Davies. I'm guessing too much propraganda and many years of shooting at them.

That being said, his eyes have been opened. He's seeing new things and things in a new light.

Oh, and no, Markus does not park his mech with the same place as the Rainbow Stables guys do. He parks One-Eye in the general Solaris Mechspace on the outskirts of the spaceport and international zone. It's a huge warehouse type building. I'm thinking about about a square kilometer... It's where the unaffiliated warriors park their stuff. The Rainbow guys have their own mech hanger (I'm not too sure how big) close to the general space.

I'm game if I ever get around to winning a match and selling off this POS Commando. I was thinking about teaming up with Derek, but considering that his Archer is even in worse condition than One-Eye and he even said that Rick is basicly a 6/7 pilot. That and he hasn't posted anything on here in awhile.... -_-

Of cours if the two/three/four of us team up, we can start our own stable... :)

But then again, two of you are my character's favorite peopel to shoot at....

Heh, Bertie's wife was assassinated by Capellans, so I can see him and Thom getting along like a house on fire...all screaming and sirens.

Again, though, he's mostly come to terms with it being a select subset of Capellans who did that. Mostly. At least his upbringing was more focused on unconditional hate to the Draconis Combine than the Capellans...

What a grumpy old sod. Though putting aside inter-House tensions is what Rainbow Stables is all about, overtly at least.

Actually from a RP standpoint it would be good to team up with ya, especially considering that Thom ends up going to and flunking out of NAMA.

Alex is unaffiliated and is waiting for John to get in touch, if John has had an unfortunate accident soon that card is going to be closed and hell need a way of making money. So he'll join anyone with a good enough offer

Sorry I got mixed up, I thought that Alex had signed with the stables, and thinking Alex was with the stables, I thought Thom was parking there.
I think Mad Jack might just tell Erin to get stuffed, sell the Champ (I think I have that left) and pay his med bills that way, then bunk in with you lot.
Mad Jack loves an underdog and setting up our own stables would really warm his pickled heart.
Heck, it might even beat.

Hmm, we've got a Capellan (DeMarkus), a Lyran (Mad Jack), a Leaguer (Vulpes), a Fedrat (Bertie) and a Peripheral (Alex). We'd just be need a Drac, and we'd have everything Erin was looking for in Rainbow anyway.

Maybe she subtly works behind the scenes to help the group out anyway, then tries to assassinate one of us. Less resource intensive for LOKI, same end point for them.

Thoughts?

That sounds like a plan to me.
Shall I begin drafting up Jack's eloquent declination of the invite?

Name: Vander Drake. I know it's probably a cheesy name, but whatever.

Callsign: Drake

Date of Birth/Age: 22 years old. Born in 3009.
Current Mech: Hunchback Prime Named "Dad's Revenge"
Affiliation:Rasalhague (dont know a better name for it)

Military History:None, other than the assault on his home when he was 15.

Physical Description: 5,1. Not that strong.

Open Background: Very impulsive and headstrong, comes from what would be the Free Rasalhague Republic, takes a very large offense at anyone who insults the Principality of Rasalhague. His home world was attacked by Steiner troops. Even Vander himself doesn't know much else about his past! Besides the following, at least. Also, he has the raw talent needed for piloting a Mech, but not much training or experience.

Deep Background:During a Steiner assault on his home world when he was 15, his family was either killed in battle or executed. As an act of revenge, he took control of his father's Hunchback, wrecked many of the Commonwealth's mechs, and made a successful escape attempt which resulted in his father's Hunchback being destroyed in the process. Many years after, he bought his own Hunchback and named it "Dad's Revenge", in honor of...well...his dad!

I'm down. Maybe you'll see me strutting around in One-Eye...

That or we all get calls from Rainbow Stables and we all go in for an 'interview' or out of curiosity we check it out.

I'll have Jack give the precise biological location into which Erin can relocate her invite, and have him meet you on the training fields.

As much as I would like to have Gozers approval I am just too eager to start writing.

My first post will be in this thread first. If I don't get approval at least from Thom afterwards I won't post in the main thread. Otherwise I will be copying the post over.

Hope that's okay.

Apartment Building 34
International Zone
Solaris City, Solaris VII
April 14th, 21:25

Walter let out a deep sigh of regret. The numbers weren't wrong. They seldom were. Even in his early school years he had had a knack for numbers. He still fondly remembered his the bet and the kiss he won from Dorothy for him helping her get the hang on numbers. Dorothy was the neighbours daughter, his first crush in school. Their afternoons were a delight to them laying in the grass, talking, doing numbers, gosiping and generally having a good time. He even got a peak at...

'Stop wool-gathering, Walt' he chided himself. 'Fact is, Dorothy isn't here, you are. Fact is, your money isn't going to last another month. Conclusion you have to get money and cut costs.'

Walters Apartment
International Zone
Solaris City, Solaris VII
April 16th, 9:31

After geting a cheaper apartment, cuting his grocery expenses in half and looking for another Mechhanger Walter had moved to the slums in the International Zone. He had spend too much on additional security to keep his belongings inside that apartment and out of other peoples hands. On the plus side his financials looked much better now. He had approximately four months before he really ran out of c-bills. Still he had to move that costly piece of junk a benevolent donkey might call a 'mech into that new and cheaper hanger. Three hours left till the transport was scheduled to arrive at the Solaris Mech Space.
'What an uppity name for a garage with grease-stained walls, flickering headlights and reeking of spilled coolant.' Walt thought 'I just hope their security is adequate. Otherwise tomorrow I won't have a 'mech to complain about anymore.'
Three hours till the delivery date left him ample time to jog there, but first he had to get on with the second part of his plans. He gathered his pad and started searching for job offers. Dispatching his CV to some units offering minimum pay, registering at the mercenaries guild hall as available veteran with his own Battlemech and leaving his contact address. The one notable thing he did not was to look for a stable to join.
With just under 45 minutes left he went to the nearest street vendor, got something hot and spicey with some kind of meat in it, he wasn't to ask the cook about it's origins and strolled to the Solaris Mech Space to park 'Ol' Parts', maybe for the last time.

Thanks!

No worries. I have enough experience from mastering lots of pen & paper rpg's to not god mode ^^

I surely will post more than once per week.

I will post the above mentioned post tomorrow morning. Hiting the hay soon and I got a feeling I might have to be responsive to other players after I post.

Thanks again.
