it would be nice if we can make our unique skin and deacals

It would be nice, but it looks less and less like that is going to happen.

If they are considering payment for camo patterns, colors, and complete schemes then that probably rules out the community making their own decals and skins from scratch.

Unless you can pay to upload your own...

The avaible replacement part menu looks redundant here from a UI standpoint. A color coded sortable inventory seems like it would do the trick. Specially if the replacement part list does include everything and just comparable weapons... Personal preference I guess but the system looks like a good compromise of previous games and if the cbill fee is enough then it looks great...

Now about the graphics... :)

Looks great PGI! I like the restrictions of only allowing weapon systems of the same type. Even if people do end up making "boats" as people in this thread have suggested it looks like they would have to give up a lot to do so. I think it is a great system with just enough in the way of limitations to allow people to get the feel they want without allowing people to abuse the system.

I really hope that visual demo is absolutely nothing what it looks like in game, aesthetically. Don't ream me out if the dev explains that word for word, I skimmed and looked at the pictures. Same with playboy. Get over it.

But then if I created and uploaded a custom paint scheme that featured a combination of decals, camo, and colors that you'd usually have to pay for separately in their store then that would be cutting into their market. Which is why I don't really see custom anything (at least player made) being supported. Maybe when they talk about the Store we'll get a better idea.

Agreed with the MOAR custom paint/decals (that will probably come in time).

Everything else will be subject to pounding on in BETA, but looks good from the outlines here.

Not sure it's necessary to show non-removable actuators and wot in the interface; just creates clutter. That's something that can be easily changed, though. Possibly even toggleable if you want to appease people who like complexity without confusing other people.

Didn't the very first part of the post say that we could change everything including engine and armour types? I wouldn't be too worried if it wasn't covered in depth here I imagine down the road it'll be there.

Perhaps that meant only a change of engine rating?
That is, one could change from, say, a Nissan 200 to a Vlar 300 or from a Nissan 200XL to a Vlar 300XL, but not from a Vlar 300 to a Vlar 300XL? :)

That would be fairly reasonable, actually. I like this idea.

Having hardpoint limits in each section and also having critical slot limits in each section seems excessive. I thought the idea behind hardpoints was to replace the crit system? I understand that you want weapons to fire out of designated locations on the 3d-model, but it seems like a "can have weapons" toggle in each section would be good enough.

Oh well, the rest seems fine.

Shows if it has hand actuators or not, though I suppose that isn't as large a concern from what we know as is, in the tabletop.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

This sounds like it would make sense.
