I never had any trouble with the documents despite using the german Office 2010, too. Yes I get the same messages, I do the same things, then save and replace the excel mechlab again and be done with it. Sometimes the button to "activate the content" of the documents shows up again, I click it, it works. No serious problems here. All features work...

You sure this a real issue, Al Bert?

First, thanks for putting in the time and effort to make this. It's super awesome, and lets me get my fix while at work.

I have one request: Could you add in something that shows how much ammo per ton a weapon has?

I understand if not, I don't know how easy it would be to do.

Thanks again!

Ya, I can add it. Just never thought about it, but shouldn't be hard.

You will see it in the next version after the patch on the 18th.

First off, this is cool as hell and I so want to get it to work. Has anyone had any success or is there a version that works with Excel 2008 for mac. Unless I'm just doing something wrong (which is entirely possible), visual basic macros don't work with this version.

I think it will work if I clear the whole sheet manually and start from scratch but I don't know the standard loadouts of any of the mechs. Developer, don't forget to actually play the game once and a while...you know what they say about all work and no play :-)

I don't have a Mac to test it on. But my understanding is that Macs can't run VBA code. So all of the sheets finer functionality will not work (Save/Load/Stock/Clear/Temp/Price Check). The only thing that will work is the basic loadout. You will have to clear it manually as you say.

This is correct, you can't use VBA on a mac. There may be a 3rd party add-on for it, but that would be at your own risk.

Okay guys.

I need some help. I need someone to help me with the VBA. An idea I have is proving above my knowledge level. If you are willing to help with some coding, please send me a PM.

Thanks.

Load Previous Saves:

Just thought I would give a quick rundown on how this works on v1.77 going forward.

On the "Saves" worksheet, you will see the current saved mech information. Above this there will be another button "Load Previous".

After pressing the button, you will be prompted to select a file. You may select any Mech Lab version v1.76 or higher. The actual name of the file is irrelevant, so if you rename it to something else it will not effect this process. If you select a version below v1.76 you will receive a message box explaining that file is not compatible and the process will end.

And that is it! The sheet will overwrite all the saved information in the new sheet with the older version saved data.

Note: the VBA code must open the workbook to read the data, so it may take a bit longer than what you might expect. However, it will not shift focus and will immediately close the file and clear the memory.

Okay, PGI is at it again.

They have discounted the UAC/5 from 25% to 62.5%!!! Guess they really want people to equip the UAC
They also discounted the LRM-5 from 25% to 55%. Not sure why.

Any who,

Excel Mech Lab v1.77.xlsm
  • Added Load Previous versions saved data
  • Correct MWO Heat Scale
  • Updated Stalker Hardpoints and Price
  • Updated TAG range
  • Added Ammo/ton for Ballistics & Missile
  • Added Flame/Fang

Please consider adding a variant of the UAC5 that does not assume you are double firing. Since the jamming rate is so high I never double fire my UAC5.

Are you getting the error before or after selecting the file?
