WHY is there no chat room in game.
the new players have so many ? and trying to get around these new crappy forums isnt helping.

all this crap going on in game, that none of these new guys have a clue.
a lobby would help new guys to ask can i get a invite to a team so i dont get stomped so bad.

give us what we need darnit a place to talk to each other in game .

They've replied in the past and during the AMA earlier this month. "They're working on it eventually." That's all I got.

You know that there is group chat in game in the mech lab right?

not talking about a group chat im talking about a full on lobby.
its the new players its hurting looking for teams and that have ?
im on comms with team dont matter to me other than i cant troll old friends.

Try paying attention to the stickied threads. there are 2 unofficial teamspeak servers for the game you can chat in, make groups and so forth, use them. it is free and it is easy to use

Well, still they need to implement a chat lobby pretty soon. (Bar, Recruiting Center etc,)

Not everyone feels comfortable with voicechat.

Eventually we will have some form of Lobby. I've got no idea when though as it's not the very top of their priorities.

Well, It should be there before the game goes out of beta...the sooner, the better...thinking of the fact that even now players have problems finding help and groups.

that is still a external link for a lobby which is a improvement.
a internal game chat lobby is still needed to helpo the new players and allow the rest of us a place to jsut bs and find friends to team up with that are not on friends list yet.

Why is under the mwomercs.com?
Wouldn't it be the same as clicking on one of the external links found on the splash page (ie the newsfeeds, the forums, etc)?

All the job listings on their site are for multiplayer networking and engineers, so the easy answer is that they don't have the people they need to work on those portions of the game. I'm sure it's all on a big list somewhere that 1 guy is slowly working through, hopefully they find some new hires soon so the network infastructure can catch up to the rest of the game.

Trying to get simple answers is a PITA. Joining IRC channel now (#mechwarrioronline rizon I guess). most peops have no clue how to use a forum or IRC so you guys are shooting yourselfs in the foot if you launch without chat room support.

No IRC #mechwarrioronline on rizon.
