You didnt like your own post.....you disappoint me.

I think house Jurai has a much greater chance of "carrying" the house.

Likewise, I think its extremely presumptuous to think you will carry an entire house....especially given that House Liao has some pretty good units and leaders.

What was your point again? You guys are not known for your skill, you are known for your poor attitude and lack of maturity in whatever game you happen to contaminate...

You also haven't liked your own post yet.....

I don't think they want you to carry them to the kiddie pool. I think they want a real leader that's actually good with people and beneficial to the community as a whole and not just one house or a personal agenda.. which is why a centralized leadership can also have some other problems. We want a strong community not a weaker one and from the actions of those in favor of a CoC it does not give much hope, if any at all, to favor it ever working properly.

Your entire group is brand new and doesn't even seem to have any real marginal level of skill other then being a minor inconvenience and a joke. If you would conduct yourself in a better manner you would be taken more seriously, but as you are, as a group, are not known to have any sort of real skill or being even valuable to a community.

What makes you think a group so new to something like Mechwarrior Online even stands a chance against smaller, but much more highly skilled and trained units? What makes you so ignorant and arrogant that you could even say that they would listen or follow you without a shadow of a doubt? Sounds to me more like a bunch of kids that think their entitled and privileged to something without doing anything useful.

I highly doubt you are organized, charismatic, and informed enough to successfully lead anything larger then a small merc group at best? I know the goons have "controlled" large groups in other games, but here people are not going to just listen to you. Your presence has as much staying power as a rank fart. It's a nuisance at first but it quick will dissipate and disappear with just a joke of a memory left behind.

Leading an entire house means that you MUST be capable of leading a large group of independent people that aren't going to tolerate someone barking orders or commands just because you feel like it. As a community that's stayed together for more then 10 years since the last release of a mechwarrior game and we've made mods and kept something we love alive all this time. To even remotely assume you could control something that big when you've just arrived.. presumptuous to say the least.

No one unit, no one person, no one in general.. could be the center of command for a game like this and keep the community happy, engaged, and thriving. A collective of people agreeing to help for a common goal works better even if some people don't agree because it keeps the game world still changing and moving while keeping everyone's diversity as units and members of the house intact with what they want. Might not be cannon for a command structure for the houses, but it stops people from being completely upset on how things are run and not starting in-fighting due to personal problems with that one person in power over you in the house. I don't want politics and kissery to be in mechwarrior because that's not a meta-game I want to play anywhere other then real life.

A long habit of not thinking a thing wrong gives it a superficial appearance of being right. (Thomas Pain )

This is what people don't understand. This is where leaders get themselves into trouble. We are all here to play a game, yet some want to be the leader (voluntary or not). I am here to have fun with my team mates and play a game. I am here to learn from the young and older players that have more experience and skill. I have been playing Battletech for over 22 years and I will not give up my independence of play to someone that I know nothing about or lacks the leadership skills in command. We are all equal here and fresh to this game. You do your thing and I hope it all works out for the best for you. We as a community need each other to make this game fun and enjoyable for what I hope is years to come. CoC or not I will play and have fun doing so. I have met a group of outstanding friends and colleagues with the 1st Blackburn's Raider's (Jolly Rogers). I wish that this gaming community and all the Battletech fans nothing but fun, enjoyment and a good spirited rivalry between each faction. If nothing else, please let this dog die because if you go into a battle of wits with Azantia or for that matter anyone within the Jolly Rogers you loose from the first word written. Take it from me please that when you call someone out, be prepared to have you butt handed to you. I do not like to fight, but I will fight for the ones I like and especially the ones I love. This is a game, not reality people. Please keep that in mind. It's not that hard.

are you high? stop wasting our time. You got the wrong thread.
I realize you guys lack a cognitive ability to make constructive, focused arguments and rely on goonswarm tactics in an attempt to "win" arguments....see this thread for proof. Its funny how you all scattered like rats when members of my unit came by after your constant poking and prodding...and you guys had the audacity to call us cowards.....

considering you cant swarm people like in eve, and its not pay to win like in tanks...I think you will find the "competition" to be on a level playing field....but hey only time will tell...Generally speaking, im sure the hardcore battletech community is a little insulted by your very presence. As a long time battletech player who loves this community (for the most part) I resent your gaming community bringing their [REDACTED], [REDACTED], [REDACTED] into our community.
Dont get me wrong, I am all about bringing in respectable, intelligent, competitive players into the community but considering the reputation and attitude of your community members, the sooner you leave our community the sooner we can clean up the filth you leave behind from your very presence.

You're okay for a Federast, I guess, but it's not hard to impress when there are literally no expectations placed upon you. A battle of wits with you people is like beating a man who is unarmed in both senses of the word.

We are one the same side for at least another few years chuggernaut, I should like to enjoy it while it lasts. Plus I need more atlases on the battlefield, and you Steiner's love your assault mechs!....love the name by the way, had me gigglin...thumbs up :D

To preempt any simple-minded scapegoating:

<--- Yes, a (new) goon. No, not a member of WoL.

The game isn't out yet. We are all going to be new.

Thousands of goons have been playing games together for a good 8 years or more. Time spent together playing old games does not make you better at an unreleased game.

Regardless, this argument is pretty much a dead end, since it will not be either validated nor invalidated in the sterile format of... text on a website. Don't kid yourself, that's all this is. There is no prize at the end of this thread.

Those are some nice facts you got there, Bishop. I wish I could tell a person's ingame skill from reading their forum posts! :|

I am profoundly anti-FedCom. It's a bad idea and if I have to kill a truckload of Davions to stop it, well, that's just how it's got to be. It'll only get worse if we let it take root, so we better do it now, otherwise it turns into chemical warfare and a nuclear attack and you idiots giving away Tikonov to the Capellans for free and the 2nd Donegal has to put down a Skye Rebellion and kill a member of the Marik Royal Family all in the same year.

Way to remove all the points and parts of the statement that actually show a point of view / spin the argument the way you wanted it. You must work in media. That might work on other people, but not here....move along Goonie......

You are the same as any goon regardless of the colors you wear...that is a stain on this community, until the day when you move on to the next new shiny game to contaminate.
