Yes, because NONE of us read that very nice proposal one of the Devs sent about Solaris. Just look at how long some free-to-play games have been out for (DDO comes to mind). Many of them aren't even that successful, yet because they are free-to-play, they can stay around WAY longer than the life span of your average MMO. Add to that the fact that PGI is working some serious magic with MW:O, and you'll realize it porbably is going to be around that long, at least.
Think about it, could you imagine any need for PGI to update the graphics for MW:O in the next decade? They already have 3D support, and the game already looks stunning. That means all they need to do is keep coming out with new content, and BAM. Can't wait to see the 10th year anniversary of this game IN GAME. XD
CryEngine3 is just today's standard. Don't take it for granted that it will continue to be so next year. If anything, I'd expect PGI to upgrade the engine in time and take advantage of new upcoming features. It'd be convenient if CryEngine4 would allow to import current assets. This also means content overhaul to some extent, but this is something for the future, not now.
