Streak Jenners

I have also found that if you fire streaks point blank and almost right behind some enemy mechs (5-10m or so) who are stationary they will sometimes completely miss and go past them... And of course they have a limited turning and tracking ability so they miss a lot against other lights in tight fast duels unless you lead your shot properly (and sometimes they still miss).
2 X SSRM2 do 0.4 dmg more than 2 medium lasers, have a shorter maximum range (streak max range = med laser effective range), weigh more, and are ammo dependent. On the other hand, in my experience, they have a much higher psychological impact on an enemy pilot than lasers seem to.
Fire 6 small lasers (18 dmg) into the back of an assault and he may ignore it. Fire 2XSSRM2's (10.4 dmg) into his back and most of the time they will turn to see what is hitting them. With lights I have found that firing streaks will get them to bolt much faster than just hitting them with lasers.. And when they bolt they present their back armor and make it easier for streaks to hammer them.
Of course these are just my experiences and opinions. YMMV.

And the OP will start a NEW thread crying tears of sorrow.. The *insert whatever you want here* needs to be nerfed because I cannot ADAPT to this new tactic.
OP here is an idea, ask the devs to give just you an button where you can selectively freeze the match and pick off whomever you choose then restart it and win! Sounds great huh? Get on that and while you are at it see if they will give me an Urbanmech with tactical nukes okay?

Exactly. This isn't a game where the weapons/assets are different but at the end of the day, they are the same. It really is asymmetric warfare.
And man, I REALLY hate Jenners.

Resulting Effect = Hit Detection
Response to Effect = Who knows when PGI will fix this ongoing issue.
Community Response = Drop SRM's and Lasers and replace with SSRM's and Ballistics.

This might be the only choice they have. Armored Core had to do the same thing since the Netcode could not keep up with the Blade Mechs.

And NO - Do not nerf speed. That solves nothing. L2Aim + working netcode = solution. It provides a working sandbox where the dependent variable is human skill instead of arbitrary rulesets or chance.

I do not think they would take that course as the last patch, as far as I can tell, saw the max speed increased from 141 kph to 150 kph.

If you would actually pay attention, hit detection is bugged right now. You can't "learn to aim" when hits aren't registering.
Anyway, I'm done playing MWO until either the hit detection is fixed or the collision is fixed. Every single game I've played the past 2 days I've had a Jenner or Commando chasing me with SSRMs for the entire game until either I die or they die, because I can't even hit them with my Jenner F and I can't stop them from running at top speed around my allies without any collision.
Also, nerfing speed would be the worst thing ever. Light mechs, and especially Jenners, die instantly to everything if you aren't able to go 130+, because you can't avoid anything being fired at you at all. They would become useless.

Hit them where they actually are and not where your screen says they are

No, you can ... it's just annoying. And often not consistent.
Over the past week I've gotten much better at shooting the air in front of things and landing hits more consistently. I still run into the occasional case where no matter what you can't hit something, but it's not an every-game thing.
I'm going to stick to running the 2xMPLAS + 2xSSRM2 for the moment, but at least I'm getting back to where I'm actually racking up some damage and getting some kills.

Sorry, I don't want to play another version of CS: Source, and spend a bunch of my time trying to aim at invisible hitboxes when it should just be fixed in the first place.
Also, even with that, there's still no way to stop them from chasing you the entire game because there's no collision.
