I was trying to add new weapons to my Atlas but adding weapons is too damn complicated! My Atlas is now unplayable, I paid MC for it, I don't know what the hell I'm doing with the weapons but I wanted more powerful weapons. Is there some way to reset my Atlas?

No way to reset right now..
But as for helping you..
First of all, all mechs come with hardpoints that limit where you can put certain weapon types and how many you can put there.
You should be able to see how many hardpoints are in each section in the pane to the right of your mech... Most atlases have energy hardpoints in the arms and center torso, ballistic hardpoints in the right torso, and missile hardpoints in the left torso.
There are a few possibilities why you couldn't add weapons
You don't have enough available critical slots
You don't have available hardpoints

I was able to add weapons but they didn't work when I went to play the game.

There is a tutorial video, you should probably watch it. You either don't have the proper ammo, or you're not using weapon groups properly. If there's something else I can't think of it at the moment.

Didn't work as in:
A] They don't appear on your mech
B] They don't fire
If A, then it's a glitch/bug.
If B, there are 2 potential solutions I can think of without more information:
1) Do you have ammo for the associated weapon
2) Do you have the weapons assigned to a weapon group?
If 2, assuming you didn't remap any of your keys:
Up/Down arrows selects a weapon
Left/Right arrows selects a weapon group
Right-Ctrl key toggles selected weapon on/off for selected weapon group.

This is why I made my tutorial series, to help with problems like this. Since I'm not sure the exact problem, I'd like to leave my mechlab vid here and hope it helps. If there's anything specific I could help with, then please ask. It sounds like you may have added ballistic weapons and didn't add ammo. The other cause is that your weapon groups are blank and need to be reset. To help, here's the video on the mechlab:
If it's weapon groups you need, then perhaps this will help:
If either of these helped then I ask you please stop by the original thread and leave a comment for visability. Please note I really don't want this to be seen as pandering for views, I really think they might help and I'm just hoping to spread the word around if they do. I'd love feedback if they were not useful, anything that I can do to make it easier on newbies to play the game.

it's probably because weapons are not assigned to groups. Perhaps there should be a menu in "mechlab" to allow weapon grouping. I'm pretty sure that MW3 had such a feature.
