- Fixed a bug where DHS where Engine Heat Sinks were not be converted to DHS.
- Single Heat Sink = 1.0
- Double Heat Sink = 1.4
PGI will monitor DHS' closely and tune this number up or down depending on the telemetry data received from production servers.
Heat Bug
Testing revealed a long standing issue with how heat was calculated for some weapons.
- Total Generated was used as Heat Per Second.
- The fix now calculates Heat Per Second based on Total Generated Heat.
So PGI is not only nerfing the DHS ( after they got caught for putting them out broken/nerfed ) and yes I mean caught, DHS was on their sched/tests for months ( pushed back for 2 weeks even more testing time ) and they "didn't " notice what it took players ALL OF 2 hours to find....
Not only will we get even lower performing DHS we also will get even HOTTER lasers, even though it was shown that the ML does the same heat as the MPL, they are just raising the heat of the ML ( or typo'ed and its the MPL being raised? ), you should be Lowering the heat of the ML not raising laser heat overall again.
So atm with DHS you get 10 SHS in the engine, and say 7DHS (10+(7x2=14)=24 total HS ), this change you get 17x1.4=23.8 SHS ....so Im still going to PAY 1.5mil for DHS to loose .2SHS over what we as testers brought to PGI's attention because it was LOW to begin with????? Your fix PGI is not a fix, your just further NERFING the DHS. To make it even worse not only will DHS do less next patch but Lasers will do more heat making it even worse.
Please rethink this and don't do like WoW used to do every patch and DOUBLE nerf things, your telling us you are patching it low to TEST with...sorry BS you have your testers in-house testing you told us this already "we experienced anticipated result". Don't make us as players play a broken patch ( for 2 weeks to a Month ) when you know its going to hose up any Mech with DHS and Lasers, test internally and patch in a viable DHS, after testing with you new Laser heat Nerf.
I mean I understand straight up Double will make heat too easy to manage, but atleast go with like 1.5 - 1.6 to start (17x1.5=25.5 / 17x1.6=27.2).
