I have been talked into it.

Seriously i have been dropping with these guys (and gals) a couple of times and they are a great group of people, very friendly and helpfull.
Been having a lot of fun with them and that's enough for me.

This game is about having fun together and they understand that.

So now i have a pink chicken badge and damn proud of it

FWL is very friendly and people are fun to play with. I am super casual and don't have a regular schedule of playing and the FWL has been accomodating to drop with some skilled mech pilots, which has been tons of fun.

Started a unit with real life friends Malaysia but many left MWO..

Chose Marik because like the OP, Steiner, Davion and Kurita are too mainstream. There is a lot to be explored in the Marik space. I was kinda hoping CW would have been House vs House, because I was going to get my unit to start gaining some Marik ground. Too bad its just IS vs Clans now.

The investigation was lenghty and not 100% complete due to immense efforts on side of the subject to cover its history.

Origin: as he claimed "a small insignificant backwater planet outside Mario space". This far we confirm. However exact planet was not determined. Subject was apparently reluctant to be found by anyone he knew from his past. Confirmed are his engagement in medium sizedsuccessful trade.

We captured an independant subcontracted agent possibly working for his wife who was extremely determined to destroy his current ID. Backtracking will not be possible due to agents interrogation end in death and our confidentiality protocols.

Later he became known as "The first to die" "MEATSHIELD" "NOISY CANNON"
Recent rumours of his past life catching up on him may be confirmed by his sudden disappearances.
He still claims that he still pursues freedom and high morale enforcement in government.

Well, after flipping through lore on Sarna, I decided to go with Marik.

Kurita's national pastime is massacring civilians.
Liao is some weird mix of Chinese dynasties and Space Maoism.
FRR is alright, but space Vikings aren't my thing.
Steiner likes to pretend they're all 16th century nobles with a flair for backstabbing each other.
And the Davions are pretty mainstream.

Next to the FRR, the FWL seemed to be the most level headed and least oppressive of the Successor States.

Its for sure least oppressive. Its basically the only faction that even mentions protecting the people and fighting for their peace and freedom. Everyone else (except maybe FRR, I'm not up to speed on them at all) is fighting for the glory of something or someone and who cares about the little guys.
