I think it’s pretty poor form to slam a guy for putting his options out there. The man is entitled to his option, I mean this is a forum right?

Why does it always have to be, you’re a crap pilot. This is now way off OP, which I think was a valid discussion about the Atlas. Personally we need some 1 vs 1 missions so we can see if your so tough by yourself.

Yes, he's entitled to his opinion. That, however, does not make his opinion immune to criticism. Just as he can have an opinion, others are allowed to disagree with him and explain to him why they think he's wrong.

An Atlas in the hands of a good pilot is a killing machine. An Atlas in the hands of a noob is an easy target.

When you can choose 1 mech as an Elite Founder, why not choose the biggest badest ***** in the galaxy. I know I did. Atlas-D(F) is an incredible mech with 4 energy, 2 Ballistic and 3 Missile HPs. You should expect to see a lot more out there for the remaining life of the game because Founders mechs get +25% cbills baby, that's why.

it is a good idea, you end up facing trial awesomes who are completed **** compared to the Atlas due to the ******** matching making of 80 tons = 100 tons

yep most atlases are a joke light mechs kill them easily.

Because Light mechs move fast enough that Cryengine stops handling them correctly in addition to the trash netcode.

Make sure you explain these things.

I disagree, no one here is the foremost expert in game development. Sure we can all put our 2 cents in, and word it like "In my option". But its not right to say that someone else’s opinion doesn't count, that they are just crap pilots, if they played with the brain they would win and so on. I'm new to the forum and all i have seen so far is nothing more than bulling. In my opinion anyway :P

I didn't say his opinion doesn't count, just that others are allowed to give theirs as well. Having the right to say something does not make what you're saying correct. The other posts in this thread aren't necessarily correct either.

But yeah, this forum is a hive of negativity. Not welcoming to new players at all.

On the actual topic: The Atlas is a fearsome machine in the hands of a good pilot, and a horrible one in the hands of a bad pilot. It's very unforgiving if you make a mistake because it's too slow to run away. It's by no means an "I win" mech.
