BT timeline says GM produces the first commercial unit in 2020. More likely it will be GE..
But the ITER reactor is scheduled for first plasma in 2019. So good job FASA!
NOTE: I am not stupid enough to believe that a commercial unit will be developed or available anywhere within years of first plasma from the largest research project. Still, it's exciting.

What do you expect with parts that are stamped with "Made in Liao"
Oh, so it is so good, but they are in war with us (blame Davions) and thus can't rebuy new parts?

When TechManual is describing how fusion reactors do NOT go nuclear (usually), it brings this up. Turns out that the actual explosion is sodium coolant, and the resulting chemical explosion caused the mushroom cloud. The radiation was from some nearby tanks of molten salt holding radioactive materials. Over the years, Tharkad Power & Heat had expanded the fusion reactor facility to include a hazardous-wast treatment plant. Baaad move, TP&H.
