LRM? I don't use LRMs, I use PPCs and lazorz. xD

I actually prefer Streaks instead of LRMs, because sitting on the same spot puking out missiles is not my idea of fun.

A Battletech/ Mechwarrior newbie, I see. Only the stupid ones used normal heatsinks in both games and TT. SOmethzing simply had to be done, because power-creep is the last thing we want.

If they really underpreform badly, they can still be raised a bit, but complete double heat dissipation is crazily unbalanced.

Overall its a good patch with two problems.

* Pulse lasers all ready sucked by comparison to normal lasers. now they really suck worse, particularly the mediums.
* 140% heat syncs (change the name as they are not double) are now to much cost to upgrade, or lack the advantage they should offer. Preference is to increase it to double like it should be.

You need to fix being charged c-bills in the mechlab for switching back and forth between DHS and SHS if we purchased the DHS for a mech.

You need to remove Artemis or put in ECM's now regardless of how OP ECM is because right now Artemis is OP and there is really no reason to even play "Mech-LRMS Online" right now.

A good patch with only those two minor problems? Have you ever encountered LRM boats with Artemis in the last few hours or are you playing one yourself and you're just happy how "good" you've become in MWO since Update 1.0.142?

I think with this new patch LRM has only got more stronger and more overpowered. That the damage range of the LRM got doubled (normally on TT each LRM do 1 dmg per rocket. but now it is 2 per rocket same as an SRM and this is unlogical) is actually something that people are more abusing it.So this way the game has turned to LRM warrior not (MECH) warrior... because everything in this game now supports the LRM and the other weapon systems are more problematic to handle now (like the heatlevel has been risen up) this way it becomes more problematic for any player to play on this terms...there are actually tons of things that can be counted here and Im actually not willing anymore to play on this terms... I will wait till this LRM abuse will be solved and people can play with their Mechs like it "should" be normally.

Sry Dev's but this patch is horrible(engine optimalization,the previous patch was better in that matter)!! I lost 10-20 fps on my desktop pc and around 10 fps on my laptop(almost unplayable on my laptop now,and nearly the same on my desktop). About my pc I still have the 4 fps bug but now its happen much often during game when it was ok at the beginning of the round,and after 1-3 min if I look at a specific direction its 4 fps and I cant do anything!! really annoyhing,Fix it ASAP!!(I think not I'm the only one with that problem).

And its just happen than I shutted down my mech with the "p" button and I cant able to restart it!!! lolz!

well, if they keep double heat sinks 1.4 for the clans at least we'll have a strategy to fight them - wait for them to fire once and shut down then shoot them with low heat weapons like 9 small lasers. ALL of the Clan weapons are ER, ultra, or pulse meaning they make much more heat.

So, overall I think it atleast shows that PGI is willing to change stuff. For me it returned the engine's performance is better now. However the major points:

- LRM dive returned. I'm playing some aws8r here and this is way too easy now. There should be a hotfix being deployed right now.
- The killing without coring bug(?!) has to be fixxed asap. Sometimes this game feels like instagib now which is plain wrong.
- The DHS adjustments are overall better than before, however with the first two on this list the game is down to gauss/lrm again. It was right to touch the lasers, but this game is too quick now to fit in some overheating mechs.
- PPC is still not viable against ballistic setups.
- QA needs to find these things. They are obvious. I remember that PGI has two QA teams doing it (it was mentioned on NGNG iirc) so I don't get how this state can go live to paying customers. I'm a dev myself working in the f2p industry and my guess is that you are experiencing the dev-hate-qa-syndrome. Make sure that your QA works with the devs, instead of mumbling in dark corners how stubborn everybody else is. QA needs to see these bugs (which I think they already do), step up and ask someone if this behavior is intended. If they don't you will end up with a developer's game (this is cleary shown with the current stage of UI implemented).
- Talk to your customers. I know, this is kinda difficult as there is too much going on to satisfy everybody. But atleast give a quick response to bugs found by your customers. E.g. If you post on one lrm dive thread that it is working as intended, everybody else can just rely to that.

From my point of view it seems like PGI can do the job. You've proven that you can take the first steps in the f2p industry, now do some more. If you don't a lot of people will get the feeling that you are just ranning off with their money.

LRMs are now ridiculous compared to tabletop:

- more damage per missile.
- all missiles hit.
- damage comes from above, concentrated.
- Cover is rarely a defense.
- Better range.

LRMs were borderline overpowered before this patch, now it's so blatant it's difficult to see how you could miss it. Hell, you don't even need to pay for ammo because taking the free 75% refill is plenty with so much firepower.

And no, mandatory ECM won't fix the problem.

Really, it's bad enough you should be hotfixing this yesterday, not some silly xp/cb zeroing.

That's my assessment as a developer too. Very difficult to believe QA could miss something so blatant.

And the true Irony of that is if it wasn't for all the QQ'ing about Heat, over and over ad nausea, the Dev may not have gone back over their internal Maths for (assumed) all the weapons and found the issue. Sadly, all the QQ'ing turned around bit everyone in the arse. LOL Irony is just the best, nex to the new Artemis LRM's :) LOL!

P.S. The actual item values (in the local files) were not changed, just the internal math calculations were apparently bugged. Thanks alot to the QQ'ers on this one... :)

Look at the cockpit frame on the same elevation as the crosshair. On both sides there is a TINY led like light that indicates the status.

Look. Bring back 8 man groups. The game is beautiful. But you still can make mistakes that ruin it. I was thinking this was going to be a World of Warcraft level time killer, the way people were getting together and grouping up. But if you limit everything to 4 man stars....

Lets just say I'm playing with a lot more pugs, after grouping with Clans. There's no comparison. My fun has been cut in half, and my frustration doubled.
