You are aware he was responding to a comment about Large Pulse Lasers, right? You are aware how much damage those do, yes?

You are aware of how much heat they already made, right?

I thought we were supposed to get to (test) swap back and forth the new upgrades without being forced to pay for them if we dont like them?

And i guess we didnt get the mech cockpit FX?

End of match damage report is bugged, as I do not believe I merely dealt 17 damage with all the missiles I fired and know I hit with. And a match where I just about killed FOUR mechs and ... yeah, brutal maiming... 6 damage.

Yeeeeeah, I believe that.

Please look into this.

New map looks good - except why hasn't the waterfall frozen up?

Catapults don't glow crazily when hit in Forest, which is a great improvement.

My AWS-9M is running hotter, which I expected but am still unhappy about: 1.4 is too low. DHS - which it comes with - are _worse_ than SHS for a large mech full of heat sinks. This does not make any sense.

"we're going to fix the engine double heat sinks"

"...by making all double heat sinks crap"

what's the use of double heat sinks if i have better heat dissipation if i use normal heat sinks?

it dissipates only 1.4 times compared to the normal and it eats up 3 critical slots.

my atlas has 27 normal heatsinks, my heat efficiency is 1.49

now with double heatsinks my heat efficiency is only 1.39. no space for dhs and heat dissipation only 1.4.

What part of making the 10 to 14 DHS inside the engine go from 1.0 to 1.4 "crap"?

Sure, this isn't the tabletop ideal of 2.0 but its far from the hyperbole laced disaster that you envision.

DHS worked if you added a bunch of them before patch - now they work worse the more you add compared to the last iteration. I LOST effeciency with the "fix" - thats not a fix, thats a nerf.

There is a point due to space restrictions inside your mech with DHS taking up 3 crit slots that single heat sinks will be a better choice than doubles. Most mechs will not encounter this, but it will be a problem for Assaults that utilize large, bulky and excessively hot weapons.

It's only a nerf if you used more than 6 external DHS. Its a buff if you used 6 or less.

So then, would you consider something that provides no benefit for a ridiculous c-bill sink a working feature, or something that needs a little more work?

No benefit is subjective. Again, if you do the math and you see that SHS will be better for you, then don't spend the 1.5M C-Bills to upgrade them.

Piranha has already said that this is only the latest in a series of tweeks to DHS. This is why there is a beta.

So the new Centurion variant doesn't even get a new model? It's got the laser arm, which is pretty strange being that it's toting a shotgun...

Really u made pulse lasers produce even more heat? u guys make no sense? i think 5 mill went inside some nasal cavities cause there is zero logic to taking something that was broken and pointless in the game and making it even worse and more pointless. what a waste of manpower on creating things in a game that u then in turn spend more time and manpower to make more pointless

No.

And in response to your next question: Never.

They're a one-off for the first 8 Mechs and won't be added for the others:

I spent 4.5 million CB upgrading to DHS on my three Hunchback's and now this? Can I have a refund? Or at least a free downgrade?

Doesn't this mech violate the engine size rules set for MWO?
