when clans arrive, they will have dhs with 2 crit... we all die.

One thing you have to remember is that energy weapons don't require ammo. Everything in this game is a trade off. If energy weapons were actually heat efficient, they'd be OP.

So let me get this straight...our energy weapons overheat more now and our double heatsinks deal with heat less well...so when I fire two linked ER Heavy LAsers from my Atlas the 30%+ heat generated from ONE shot is ok? I really dont get it...ohh n btw was there a nerf to normal missle locking that I missed? Or do we have to get the new missle targetting system to get anywhere near what we were doing before? Also and this is probably already known the damage numbers for missles do not seem to be totalling properly in the final screen , at the end of a match after killing two mechs and launching 240+ Lrm 20's I got a damage delivered of 10. I guess I really suck.

I thnk the 1.4 DHS issue will be fine IF and only if they knock it down to 2 crit spaces.

Inner Sphere DHS 2 heat 3 crit
Clan DHS 2 Heat 2 Crit. Clan being 33% better crit space wise.

Now at 1.4 heat for IS by reducing the crit to 2 and keeping Clan tech at 2 heat and 2 crits keeps roughly the same 33% edge ( 0.6+), that the Clan tech has, be it in heat disipation vs. crit space.

So just reduce the crit space the IS DHS uses and things will work out.

no offense, sir, but it effects lesser numbers of DHS as well. a RVN with a 245XL and 2 DHS loses ground over where it was. not saying i won't learn to live with it, but reducing heat efficiency from 1.7 to 1.42 is a significant decrease.

These bugs crack me up... So LRMs are doing massive amounts of damage with Artemis and no ECM to counter them, but at the same time, people aren't getting damage credit for LRMs, so it sort of balances out?

LRM rain was idiotic before. Now its the ultimate easy button. Really sucks, what PGI? Everyone suppose to run LRM boats now?

i have a question before i put any real money into this game. as i just found something that i was not pleased with upon logging into the game tonight AFTER this patch update. and find it to be quite dishonest and outright theft. i had $3 million ($3.5 something but $3 million close enough) saved up last i logged in like a week ago. granted that may not seem like alot but i was finaly able to buy my first mech and now i can not. I log in tonight and find ALL the $money i worked hard playing and earned up saving to buy a mech... GONE. i know the game/server records can confirm what i claim WAS there. I was going to for the first time actually buy MC with real money for this game after it was done patching. now until i have some kind of answers and hopefully get things resolved i will not put any real $money into this game. how do i know if i buy MC that it wont disappear also ? this is discouraging and not exactly the best image to put forth to your player base. any mechwarrior online representatives that can shed some light on this and perhaps help fix this or direct me to whomever can fix this so i have my $3 million and change back, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

nope. 10 at 1.0 and 2 at 2.0 meant 14 heat, 12 x 1.4 = 16.8. so you're not taking a hit at all.(infact it's better) at 11 you're only getting 13, 11 x 1.4 = 15.4. so i'm sorry mate, but it's probably your weapons (lasers got a bit of heat boost because they werent working right.)

probably a glitch in the database mate, submit a ticket w/ a screenshot to support@mwomercs.com. it'll get you more answers than here. they weren't doing a reset this week but i wouldnt be surprised if some sort of trigger was left somewere (database programming is a nightmare).

Its bcuz b4 patch heat efficiency in mechlab counted engine DHS like 2.0 and not 1.0 how they worked...

Hikyuu i can not submit a screenshot of my missing ingame $money as it isnt there to get a screenshot of. i do know that the game/server records should easily be able to verify my ingame $money amount. until the issue is resolved though...i will not purchase any MC (mechwarrior cash) for fear that it too may disappear.

Well the -25 C below on frozen forest colony map seems to have ZERO effect. Frozen City with blizzards does not effect heat. Is it really that hard to make frozen maps effect heat in a good way?

No it isn't. What is up with this?

They really should get ALL of the electronic warfare modules up and running in the game and working properly. This would help with way to take out LRM boats. They really need to make this a priority.

I am really tired of this snails pace of getting this stuff out, I am turning in my fanboi badge.

This is take from the game word to word:

ARTEMIS:

A targeting system that adds homing capabilities to SRMs and additional tracking to LRMs. Must be equipped with ARTEMIS equipped ammunition.

So who I must believe :)

Also I noticed that trajectory of LRMs now is very steep, they go higher and fall down sharper....
