Not sure what planet you are from but just because something is F2P does not mean it does not require a revenue stream, PGI did this to make money not provide a home to the MW community for free, and I assure you their costs for operating the game will continue to exist regardless of players.

Restoring 8 mans in two weeks is not the point, as this was always billed as a "team game" by the devs focusing role warfare. instead of screwing with groups PGI could and should have added a "Deathmatch" gametype and killed two birds with one stone. Instead they hamstring teams for two weeks, and giving us another game type that would allow lonewolfs to grind without fear of premades is still no where in sight.

Not necessarily. We were doing the same thing in closed beta to drop full premades against other premades.

Its called balancing..

My 2 SSRM commando does its job well. and my Awesome has been on the wrong side of a good commando pilot twice. So they seem to work well. You realize that 6 SSRMs is 30 points of damage, so it was a little much to concentrate that power in one place.

Also if you fire from angles you get better concentration that firing directly from the back or front. Just have to learn how to use the toold you have its, no different than learning to lead with a guass, or laser.

I guess what I am saying is that there is no reason to counter a light mech with a Streak Cat anymore. You can just LRM the light mech.

1 LRM 15 will rip apart a light mech in like 3-4 shots. What skill is there in killing a mech moving at 150 kph from 1000 kilo's? Streak required you got into fighting range which was pretty dangerous for a streak cat as they have a large cockpit hit box and are considered a squishy mech.

With this patch the Tag + Artimis combo = 1 shot kills for any mech. Just try it. You run 2 LRM 15's from 1000 meters behind cover and have someone tag a target, they die. No need to brawl anymore. Its a sniper / lrm game right now.

Missles are strong, but they can be countered in different ways. Taking cover is only one and not even close to the best.



How about, you try to communicate to the PUGs you are paired with. You may be surprised, about their willingness to coordinate, once or twice.



Seems like you are another one of those, that didn't get the memo, that you will be able to play in full grups again in just two weeks.



As a founder I have absolutly no problem earning c-bills. My team mates, even the non-founders, have no problem earning c-bills. C-bills have no actual worth and given enough time, you can get billions of it. Maybe it's your "I want everything now" attitude that's wrong?



I am not defending PGI on every decision they make. But those rants about matchmaking just show me, how spoiled some of the players are. There is one thing temporarily taken away from them and they start to cry, like it's the end of the world.

2 weeks? how many players won't come back in 2 weeks?
I sure as **** won't be clicking my premium button whenever it shows up. no way. this current patch is total crap.

Boring.
Btw, people in my clan said the same thing and left early tonight.

All I can say is GG and hope the pugsters and F2P people have fun with the "Age of Artemis Wars". Regulars like me will no longer be playing until they patch this insanity, add in ECMs to counter the Artemis or increase LRM/SSRM rearm costs even more to discourage all the boating going on.

The game has degenerated into a long range, lock on and fire simulator. All you chumps talking about tactics and taking cover either have not played much since the patch or are just stupid.

I don't want to sit behind cover for the first 5 mins of every match only to make a 5 second mistake of losing cover by advancing to engage and be **** on by 300 LRMs killing me in 5 seconds or less. And then even if my brawler or scout happens to make it inside the 200m range to enagage..well **** then I have to face 100 SSRMs peppering the rest of my already cored out mech.

If you like it so much then you can have this crap state of the game for the next two weeks if they even patch it by then. There are a lot more fun games to be played in the meantime.

Changing trial mechs to an xl atlas and an lrm cat. Why not keep trial mechs limited to no lrms? Or is because lrms are so easy to use?

Having Artemis ammo be 60k a ton... at least only the rich will use it..

why are you hating Battletech?
This Game has been around for many years, you destroy it!
Thirst this Lag Bug, than Open Beta to soon.
Now the end with LRM Only Game.
FIX this fast or after three month playing I quit.

Just to offer a different perspective, I play UTC times as part of a team at work (generally) 4 and we do OK at lunch times, but playing in the evening was, up till this patch a nightmare due to the change from closed to open beta going up against an increasing amount of x8 premades. Now I would've assumed that you guys would prefer to go up against another group of 8 rather than the new guys from open and us solos from closed?

This would've been more of a challenge for you whilst allowing the rest of us to stand a chance. Post patch this seems to be working but I appreciate that you guys are frustrated whilst you wait the 2 weeks for the next matchmaking update. Why not focus on recruiting with those x4s in preparation and get some new people trained up? Hopefully it'll allow us soloing a chance to help out the new guys more too?

I've tested with a single streak on a jenner. A target standing still, If I shoot with lock from about 50m, I miss around 35% of the time. They should at least hit as much as standard SRMs and not miss completely.

Playing since founder's beta started, I've yet to see them react to balance concerns voiced by the community on their forums. Instead, I've repeatedly seen "official" statements by the Devs that they have telemetry in place to monitor statistics in the live game and that they intend to use this data when making changes to balance. I guess we all need to get in LRM boats and give them their data then.

First time I tried SSRMs after the patch looks like I was using normal ones...
I'm ok with the fact all missiles dont have to aim the CT only, but at least, let them all hit when fired to a slow-moving target or a speedy running straight to/from you...

I honestly don't know what they were thinking with this patch...

The game is buggier and less fun to play.
I am still getting black screen and 4 fps the same as before.
I get fps drops while looking at certain areas of the map now.
Artemis has made already OP LRMs much more powerful.
There is no cockpit shake to alert you to incoming missle hits.

This is my first complaint thread.
Please hotfix this asap.

Artemis is not the problem, the LRM flight arc is. Also taking shake from LRM hits out was a mistake.

I get better performance in game, but i see increased "sever connection was lost" messages and get dropped to the launcher.

Isn't the LRM flight arc part of the benefit to running Artemis?

Mty PC is below minimum spec and I still get 25-30 FPS, never have any "4fps bug" moments even with a below minimum video card hardware.

It was said more than once during closed beta. And it got ignored.

Dont missunderstand me. I am not going to call for a refund or something. I like this game and hope they dont take half a year to fix the problems. But i can see how others will not have my patience.



There is a difference between OB and release... They are still asking for advice, bugs, glitches, all the stuff. If it was release.... They wouldn't need us to keep testing and giving back feedback.... If it was release they wouldn't have to make patches every other week...

I agree with you but adding Artemis to the equation (w/o the ECM counter) only compounds the issue.
