Did you try overriding the automatic shutdown or manually powering back up?

Tuesday's patch had bugs that made the game near unplayable, yet with today's hotfix it is a serious contender for best patch ever, well, ever since I got into beta in mid/early June.

Yes, that patch was the best thing you ever did :P

LRMs now work as they should.

missiles are expensive. not only are streaks and lrm boats boring thier expensive. after a long round with either i would see 120k+ repair/rearm. with premium i would make a tiny profit on wins and a loss when i lost. when im farming cbills ill either be in my founds or a laser/ballistic mech, missiles are too expensive to be my primary weapon.

My first post-hotfix match was snow forest.

O boy, I would pay 20mil C-Bills just to see faces of those guys in LRM boats when they realized that their LRMs do not insta-kill anymore. :P
The match lasted almost until the time ended, with few brawls around and absolutely no OPnes. All I can say that this fix is a step forward. Keep up the good work Devs !

P.S.
Please fix bug when getting damage from mech run. It's kinda ridiculous to see mech legs getting red from runing around on mildly rough terrain.

In defense of my jerkness, I played TT in 84'. But I don't spout TT rules every time something doesn't work the same way it should in a video game. They use what they can and alter what they have to. The game is still under construction. If it offends you as a die hard TT player, you should find another game.
As far as belittling people maybe people should why they are offend or hurt by the statement. If all there was posted on this forum was constructive there would be very very little topics eh?

I've had this happen today as well, luckily overriding, THEN manually powering on (as if I'd manually powered off, though I just overheated) seemed to pull me back to the living.

LRMS are now a joke. They were 200% as effective. Now they are 30%.
Is it THAT hard to calibrate them to 100%?

I've still gotten LRM'ed to death, BUT it was my own stupid fault this time :P Brawling in the open is still a bad idea unless their support is decently engaged/distracted.

You weren't in the caldera in Caustic, were you? For some mechs, it can get hot enough in there that you dissipate very very little heat (single ML dissipates in 25 seconds).

If you override in there though, you're toast. Kinda no way out of that one unless there's no enemies nearby for a minute.

Which I would say is working as intended. :)

Agree, feels much more balanced now. Now focussing attention on more subtle problems.

As i said.... LRMs are now dangerous, but not deadly at once you are target. That's how it should be since 3 weeks.

I had the same thing happen, where your HUD display gets stuck with the overheat display up. You are still able to move your mech and use weapons with group hotkeys, but you have no crosshair, no weapon group display, no map, and no heat readout.

Manually powering off and on made it go away for me. The overheat in this case was not part of an ammo cook (none of my weapons were damaged).

Post hotfix bump for fun. Well, more to shame the OP into not being such a infantile spaz...

Cheers :P
