Will it also fix the lack of cockpit damage from missiles? You can't tell you're being hit currently.

it starts very well.. straight up quick... but then, they impact in the target direct from above (alot of head and torso damage) making cover much less efective than last patch and I still don't use artemise... (like close beta flight path)

That's my only gripe against this game at this point - LRMs are slightly OP'd due to the trajectory issues I mentioned above, but the lack of effective countermeasures makes it far worse. Either "fix" the trajectory, or introduce more effective countermeasures.

I just came out of a match as an LRM boat where it said I had 3 kills and 0 damage done. Trust me, the LRMs are absolutely hitting. In fact, thanks to Artemis, they currently seem to shoot vertically up in the air and land straight on your target's head, blowing it off often in a single salvo.
After coming out of a PUG match of 16 LRM boats (which speaks volumes) I've decided that's my cue to log until that's fixed.

To everyone whining about LRMs being overpowered: the dev team is working on the ECM. This will be your countermeasure. I really don't agree with altering the LRM trajectory because hitting targets over tricky terrain is exactly what LRMs/the Artemis system/NARCs and TAGs are for, and taking that away would make them nigh-useless.
I personally have enough problems just trying to get them past the terrain I'm firing from, like behind a hill; you'd think bending the torso up would make the missiles launch up into the sky before curving towards your target, but they still fly straight into the hill instead. I take this as an acceptable detriment though, as I admit being able to remain completely hidden while spamming LRMs would be horrendously overpowered.
...Okay, rant aside, good on the devs for responding to this issue so quickly. This tells me that you do in fact listen to the playerbase and care about your product, which is more than what can be said for a lot of other MMO makers out there. Keep it up, peeps.

Been playing my Cat-A1 all evening and not having a problem avoiding incomming LRM's for the most part. Same as before, get close to building, run/jump out of way as they are in terminal flight.
