The goal of my project was to prove that any mech can look cool. It all started because some of my friends would not play with certain mechs in table top games because "they don't look cool". I wanted to show people that when I flipped through a TRO, I saw much more than what was on the page. My friend challenged me to re-design or update all the mechs in the 3025 TRO. Of course, mechs like the Vulcan and Quickdraw were the first ones I was told to tackle. So I did it, we had good times geeking out on mech semantics. The Phoenix Hawk and Crusader were re-designed before the phoenix project came out. Many people are bothered by the whole lawsuit situation with the unseen mechs. I tried my hand at re-designing the unseens but still keeping the overall shape of the original. I did make a locust that looked like a walking apache attack helicopter, I'm trying to find it. Some of these drawings go back eight years or so.

The original Urbie is always the butt of jokes and sarcasm; THIS Urbie... I wouldn't want to f*ck with. :)

I LOVE the Locust, but I keep picturing a bunch of Ewoks trying to take it out. :)

The Shadowhawk is killer...

I see some poeple don't like the Archer because it isn't close enough for the purists (which I consider myself to be... I go back to the beginning of the Battletech universe).

What I ask them is this: What version would Jaime Wolf, and Morgan Kell, find full of more badassery; the original, or THIS one.

I like your style, but legs of almost all your designs are way too thin, I think. Anyway, good work :)

Wow, that Centurion is badass!
I would have made the head a little larger maybe just to solidify the proportions medium 'mech but thats me. Think you naild the perfect medium between Alex's Centurion for the game and the original Loose art work in TRO:3025.

More meat in the legs. But heck these are just rough sketches. This dude should definitely be in the developing team for Pirahna o.o!

In my opinion, this is by far the best Marauder redesign i've ever seen. Something between the beauty OG Marauder and a well done redesign! It looks beautiful to me. Posted Image
Man, i fell in love with this. Probably because it looks a bit like the original, but you've already said it. The OG can't be topped. I love this redesign.

Hmm... why does this design reminded me instantly of an upright walking toad?

His designs are leaning too much towards the anime style, it doesn't fit with the military theme of Mech Warrior.
I love Flying Debris' designs more.

Am I the only one who looks at that (awesome) Cent concept and is reminded of some form of Tau battlesuit? I'm not even a massive 40k-nut, it just says that to my brain.

I do not think this to be true. There is nothing anime about Shortpainters designs, but they are not the blocky western style that has been done in the past.
