1. Picture of a Warhammer stepping on the destroyed carcass of a Maurader, while a Crusader gets DFA'ed by a Shadowhawk
2. Working video of the Mechlab (in any form, even Bay shaky cam).
3. Another entry of 'The Naughty Producer's Blog' that includes comments about a movie documentary entitled 'Mechwarrior Online: How One Game changed an industry forever.
4. All the devs working at their computers wearing Comstar robes.

If it's a Mech, I'm hoping for the Wolverine cuz, well, I been saying that forever.
If it's not a wolverine I'd be fine with a Locust.
If not a Locust then I guess I'd be ok with a Scorption.
If not a Scorpion then it had better be the Trebuchet.
Umm yeah. I could go on

I don't see an open Beta or invite only Beta starting for another 30 to 60 days. Followed by patches and final testing for about 30 days then, around August we are all Hot Dropping in.

More realistic.. we'll get 2 mech's instead of 1.

Oooo speculation, what a terrible thing to teach the mind to do, hmm let's see...
MW:O Is about 3 weeks into F&F beta...
It was announced on the 17th (about 2 weeks in) with this little tidbit most of you know:
Quote
Secondly, that means the next step is closed beta. We’re not quite there yet, but we’re not too far off either.
We will let you guys know the second anything closed-beta related happens. You won’t find out from a random forum post, I can assure you of that So please, stay tuned...
So they mentioned they will let us know. It says next step, not tenth step, that is telling. They are not far off, and after 2 weeks of F&F I would expect not.
As someone who has been a part of F&F beta's for high profile titles before...
In a decent development cycle without too many surprises, to go far beyond 3-4 weeks of F&F would be unneccessary in many cases. It's a time of getting real impressions from people whose judgement you can trust a bit, who will tell you like it is while being cognizant of the heart & labor that went into the project.
It's about removing the remaining rough edges of alpha, getting noob reactions, testing net code, testing personal old machines, finding show stopping crashes, etc. They want to get to the next stage ASAP, without the warts.
Could it become any more 'warfare month' than going from F&F to closed beta?
Stepping inside a suit on a closed beta would definitely be warfare month worthy.
My guess is that April 25th is the closed beta milestone goal. For Inner Sphere News to say "Even I will be surprised at this release." While release can mean anything, "Release" is used as a specific software term when code reaches a level of completion to be released to the public. For them to be 'surprised' by reaching a 'release' is a pretty huge statement in game development in my eyes, like a beta milestone would be one of the big one's. Nothing makes the devs happier than showing their hard work off and letting people at it. The word surprise throws me a bit though, I wouldn't want someone saying they were surprised we made it to beta, that sounds a bit ominous, like close to vaporware ominous. Maybe it's the rocky hurdles that had to be jumped to get there...that makes sense, mmm speculation.
If they don't hit the speulated closed beta milestone goal and have to push it back due to unexpected issues, I expect they will have something else already in place to post on the 25th.
Either way closed beta is around the corner, and they said they will let us know "the second" anything closed beta happens, barring major issues that announcement has to be imminent. It's surely what brought me around lately.
P.S MW:O Looks great so far, Russ's passion on the videos for the best player experience has me anticipating great things.

This is my own speculation as I drool at all the other possibilities. I'm not too worried about a quick release, or a perfect MechLab. My main thing is having a good game and plenty of 'Mechs to drive, one reason I keep playing MW4Mercs- the amount of 'Mechs in it by this point is glorious.
