Haters!.

Ofcourse it is adventage that you get faster better gear, but in the end, it is irrelevant. Thats why it is not pay to win it is pay to get faster there.

The simple answer-
mechwarrior is a classic game system with a strong fanbase and a rich universe to draw from going back over 25 years.

hawken is just another robot shooting game.

This is rlly the last post about Pay 2 win.
I want nothing!,but i like to see a F2P Model (Dota,lol) thats Fair for all from Scratch (Beginning),and not after playing thousand of Hours against Full customized Mechs.
Or a better Macthmaking System (Trial v. Trial,Elite vs. Elite,etc),and not Trial vs.Personal (better equipted Mechs).
I like Fair Challenges.

Okay to the people that are ranting about the skill tree's Let me pose a question too you. so if i give you a M-16 and your put into a fire fight with a Army Ranger... Now in real life as you fought this man you would start to learn tactics and you would learn the way the firearm works with diff. ammo and ways to fire the weapon in the most advantageous way. So in a simulator this is shown in a skill tree. if you honestly dont think that mister Army Ranger wouldnt eat your lunch in a fire fight becuase he has more skill with his weapons than you sir are ignorant and dont understand the mechanics of war. The weapon is only 10 percent of the fight the person holding the weapon and his experiance which is reflected in a skill tree in a game is the other 90%. The problem that people have is you cant effectivly show skill in a game beyond a specific degree because your not controlling the mech the mech is following a predeterminded path and movement. thats what skill trees are for to show advancement in the game. Hopefully this explains it enough if you still think otherwise than it is pointless to argue the meaning too you becuase you have obviously never learned how to be better at anything in your life and than tried to carry that knowledge into a gaming enviroment

I do wish that MWO had taken the UT engine as well... the Cry3 engine looks great, but its so taxing on my computer.

Yeah a lot of us had to upgrade to play MWO with good fps but it's worth it

Yeah, I'm thinking about upgrading (I'm from the EU, so I dont know how useful that site is for me)

Funny, I played BF3 for so long, with a measly 40fps (which makes it just annoying to hit), but its going to be MWO that finally pushes me over the edge and upgrade my rig

I played 6 matches in Hawken and then uninstalled.

I had three major reasons I did not enjoy it.

1. It plays like a first person shooter, Call of Duty style, which is annoying and so far from realistic it feels unnatural. It's like making a racing game where there cars go from 0-60 instantly, stop instantly, can strafe instantly, and can fly.

2. The mech customization is bland and uninteresting.

3. It's ugly. The mechs look like Atlas scat. It feels like "Junkyard Wars: The Game". The film grain and color layout invoke a feeling of throwing rusted bolts into a rusted bucket.



I am sure some people will enjoy it, but not I.
