Do you get sick of always using a good mech ? This might be a build for you:

The "Noisy Cricket" 4ERPPC Cicada:
It's simple,
take a Cicada with 4 energy hardpoints, i went with the CDA-2B since i already had it, but the CDA-2A or CDA-3M will work just as well (i guess).
I recommend torso slots if possible to minimize "weapon convergence errors".
Strip everything and add 4 ERPPC, be sure to upgrade your internals to Endo-Steel, buy DHS upgrade if you want to shoot more than once every minute, reduce the armor until you have 96 armor in total distributed to the places that matter most, equip it with a mighty xl125 engine (or even a standard 100 if you don't want to throw that much cbills away) and fill it up with 5 additional (double-) heasinks (6 with the std 100 engine).

There you go ! Make sure to only take "sure shots", alpha strike only and you might want to have something to do while you wait for your mech to cool down. I watch a stream and enjoy my coffee. or wash the dishes.

If you're lucky you'll even manage to get some kills.
I made an annoying video to show everyone interested how it "works" :

Best regards

I wasn't sure how to feel about this but then the Jeopardy tune sold it to me. I like it a lot!

Moving this to the Batltemechs section.

Also, you could post this on MechSpecs.com as you will find a lot of mech builders are migrating there. Just sayin ;)

Hmm. Now you're making me want some Cicadai* again. How nutty will builds like this be when PPCs disrupt huds and such?

if ya want to make this build viable in longer engagements, just throw em in an Atlas with 2 E-points per arm( i use the RS), and you can alpha 2.25ish times before overheating

Agent Kay: A Series Four De-atomizer. :D
Agent Jay: That's what I'm talkin' about. :)
Agent Kay: [picks up a very tiny gun and gives it to Jay] Noisy Cricket. :(
Agent Jay: Hey, Kay, nah, nah. Come on, man, you-you get a Series Four De-atomizer and I-I get a little - little midgy cricket? :D

 Go make Jay proud! B)

Very funny idea, nice that you got kills with it, 4 PPCs even if a silly build on Cicada is still quite damaging.

Huh, this is either an interesting coincidence, or you found mine. I posted this like a week ago, and in turn found the concept on this forum. [Build was not optimal w/ XL etc, just something I went with for a few days before I sold the cicada]

EDIT: Ah, Kong. So you DID find mine. Good on ya for making it an actual thing.
