in my soil, rest over a million of men.
British, French,canadian, australian, new zealand,south african,british indian,tunesian, italian...to many to list
but also germans, austrian-hungarian and allies
torn apart by exploding artillery shells....buried under mud. With nobody to properly remeber there deeds.
I higly respect the soldiers who fought in this war. No mather what nation.race, skin colour..All send to the meatgrinder by some fat blokes with power
Rest in peace. May these souls never be forgotten
but i get tears in my eye to see so many people of my age, not giving a flying ***** about them :'( :'(

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

To those that stand in front of us, know that the sacrifices you make today create a better tomorrow.
To those who will stand in times to come, know that your generation will thank you.

Sleep sweet - rise anew!
We caught the torch you threw
And holding high, we keep the Faith
With All who died.
We cherish, too, the poppy red
That grows on fields where valor led;
It seems to signal to the skies
That blood of heroes never dies,
But lends a lustre to the red
Of the flower that blooms above the dead
In Flanders Fields.
And now the Torch and Poppy Red
We wear in honor of our dead.
Fear not that ye have died for naught;
We'll teach the lesson that ye wrought
In Flanders Fields.

Do something with your life, my friend, that lasts beyond your time;
Create, remake, and innovate-leave something grand behind.
Give beauty root to render fruit for others when you go;
Expand its seeds by planting trees whose shade you’ll never know.

Regardless of reason, colour or race,
Regardless of how, why or where,
You served your country, and that's why we care.
Regardless of area, region or land,
Regardless of order or officer command,
Regardless of how, when or why,
You served your country and didn't deserve to die.
Regardless of year,we will always remember,
The eleventh hour of the eleventh day of November,
For those who have served, been injured or died,
Please wear that poppy and wear it with pride.

to the wounded in body and spirit, we are here for you.
to those who have, will, or are in service, thank you.
to those who send them...
please remember that none of us are numbers... we are men and women.

S3dition, on 11 November 2012 - 08:33 AM, said:
The hour when earth’s foundations fled,
Followed their mercenary calling
And took their wages and are dead.
Their shoulders held the sky suspended;
They stood, and earth’s foundations stay;
What God abandoned, these defended,
And saved the sum of things for pay.
-A.E. Houseman
Obituary to a mercenary army. Quoted by Claire Chennault of the Flying Tigers.

Those queralous men,
Demons in human skin,
Scourge in hand,
Our peers set high by ignorance,
Driven by greed and lust for power,
They demand yet more sacrifice and death.
With eyes wide shut we still throw ourselves
into the abyss.
When will we learn?
When;will we learn!
