who win and who loses is not decided by you, neither by team work,
the team who wins is decided by the matchmaking.
why you ask?
after 2 whole days of playing MWO like 7 hours a day i noticed something that happens in every battle, the winning team is full of their own mech, and the team who loses have 3 or 4 trial mech.
they need to fix the matchmaking not only for mech tonnage but by trial mech quantity also.
or handle trial mech battles separatelly.
I occasionally jump back into a trial mech (Just for the free cbills) and we still win. It's not the mech its the player piloting it. In a trial mech heat management is key since they are base variants, which everyone knows have issues that can be corrected if you mod. Since you can't mod trial mechs, learning to manage the heat is the key to playing them effectively. New players in trial mechs are still learning that. So instead of ******** about them veteran player should be coaching them so that instead of being a liability they can become an asset. I occasionally team with a group of friends and just for kicks we do trial mech runs and win, which usually results in insults and cries of HACKS.

By now I've just learned to be patient and remind new players about weapon ranges, using R to target, focus fire, don't wander off alone, you actually have to get in the box to stop a cap instead of just shooting them from range, etc, etc, etc.
Hopefully Matchmaking will get the full fix, including grouping newer player together away from the veterans, but until then, no reason we can't try and make it a little easier by helping them out. Eventually we all learn.

I have noticed over several days, that Matches where one team all have a High Ping, that team tends to win by a greater percentage of kills.

I've had several tie games. Not sure why though.
The trial mechs aren't the most balanced mechs but a couple of them are decent. I've had great success with the trial Centurion, Awesome, Catapult, and even the Dragon. Those piloting trials aren't always those without their own mechs, oftentimes they are pilots with mechs testing out a specific chasis before a purchase or trying to gain some cbills without the worry of repairs or just out having some fun. I would say that any group piloting trials with a group mentality and communication could stomp any other group unwilling to work together.
I do support the notion of Matchmaking for 1) new persons, 2) trial only mechs 3) canon-only mechs and 4) 8 man premades

Had a 4 man premade on my team in one game - all 4 fatlasses. Just lumbered out through the open to the enemy base blasting away. I might as well would have stayed at our base, the 4 in the premade could have easily won 4v8.
Most of the games had me and if I was lucky one other founder and a bunch of trial mechs vs anywhere from 5-7 founders. This happens consistently. And very rarely do I have more than 1 other player on my team hitting triple digits in damage.
Sorry PGI, I've been a fan of MW games for a long time now, and more often than not lately this game simply isn't fun.
