Was hoping for SOMETHING to deal with the:

-Crash to desktop whenever 3+ people look at you
-HDR bug turning screen black in forest colony
-Crash to desktop randomly when dragging things in mechlab
-Crash to desktop randomly when adjusting armor in mechlab
-Losing HUD when coming back from overheating
-Black screen on game entry
-Block letters/flashing screen on game entry
-Gold screen on game entry
-Entering games with unrepaired internals even though the mech lab said they were at 100% health
-Paper doll not updating so you can't tell how you die
-Randomly dropping to 4 fps (slideshow)

Oh well.

Exactly. Because if they didnt tell us, Im sure you would not be on here complaining about lack of communication. Never......

The issue is that they're telling us "there's no patch" on the Red Letter Day, or in this case Red Letter Minute itself. At that point it's kind of moot, since you can figure out there's no patch yourself when it's that late.

So yes, there is a lack of communication, and has been since I joined CB a few months ago.

(speaking of which, balance thread is AWOL, "known issues" and "new user flow" threads left untouched for two weeks despite being critical matters. Just saying :) .

Could we please have new user experience sorted out so that we could recommend the game to our friends to try, without having to tell them we're feeding their faces into an unoptimized, XP-less grinder?)

Thing is, they dont tell us anything.

People would not complain or even talk about this if there was even a LITTLE feedback from them like:

- We are working on...
- We hope to introduce on...
- In the coming month...
- Our office will close over the hollydays, so do not expect...
- We are just discussing X, and wanted to ask you our player what you think...

Didnt you guys even notice that on the 7th we players needed to make a post about all Patchnotes?

The only thing coming close to a News Update is the InnerSphereNewsFlash that brings us:

Tue. Nov 13, 3049: Lawsuits filed over Nashan Diversified’s liquidation of Baker Pharmaceuticals following the hostile take-over.

And sorry again, even as a commited roleplayer I can only ask: "whiskey tango foxtrot????"

What? No patch...not even a hotfix?!
So we're supposed to wait until the 20th until the game is (maybe) playable again?

Great fun dieing every game without losing armour, or while having to power up and down over and over to get the UI back.

Its funny people yell when they put out patches saying they are bugged and should have had spent more time working on them. So now we have people yelling they are not working as hard as they should and need to put patches out faster. Nowhere did they say they would be putting out patches every week. In the Dev notes alot of stuff has the date of the 20th on it.

And the guy that keeps talking about the 5.2 million... thats been talked about so much its not funny. Maybe if more of the threads were usefull and not just people crying you could find a few of them.

yeah,, the problem is the game is so bugged at this point we are kinda expecting a patch to FIX the game... Not content, not gameplay but things that will make the game WORK... As of now it doesnt .
My name is MEK ..Abuser...in every game ive ever played, because I love giant robots and easily 70% of the time Ive spent playing games the last 15 years has been a mechwarrior title.
But I really have no interest in this game at this point. lag shooting? a firing delay? oh thats fun. 8v8, ?
its just not fun at this point, with these maps, and this game mode.. and most importantly dealing with lag shield exploit idiots.
btw,i hold nothing against the poor souls, most of the playerbase, who are outside the usa... I know your ping isnt your fault.
Idont even blame those who just run the 130kph lag jenners that are impossible to reliably hit.
I blame the devs.
So, till something interesting happens, ill be playing an interesting game. planetside or tribes or something..

Which is an amazing thing considering how much i lOVE MW>.. Its like I met an awesome beautiful woman, but just cant hang with her because she STINKS to high heaven

You are giving them too much credit. Those programmers you speak of? Just interns man not even full fledged programmers.

The entire game just smells of amateurish effort in programming not to mention the entire team of web interns trying to publish contents that is full of typos. Seriously, no proof reading?

It's because it's outsourced work. I've used developers from around the world. I know what the work looks like.

wtf people you all act like your entitled to something...last i checked you didn't own this game..pgi did ..

so yea...back up outta their faces..

I on the other hand applaud the devs for their efforts...good or bad.. we shall all grow together >.> ...or kill each other..wich ever comes first

this is what you guys remind me of..

<sorry i suck at embedding, couldn't figure it out on here...im a red/neck..shoot me>

seriouisly? red/neck is censored? SERIOUSLY!!!????

I just hate being lied to bro. Only a fool would believe they raised 5.2 mil and that this is valid progress for that much investment.

Wow, talk about yer mob mentality...you guys are just plan being rude with your comments! All along they have said things come up, and things change they would try to keep to a timeline, but crap happens, if a patch is hurried out and has a bug because it was hurried out you complain, if a patch is delayed because its not ready you complain. Most of the posts in this thread were made to just be offensive, come on guys we dont need that here, you know it dont help matters none and wont get anything done faster.

I don't want to be pessimistic here, but seeing the missing bugfixes and content, (game modes! ranking! anything!) it looks like they gave up the project already. We did something similar at the company I work for. The people in the forums still believe that we're working on a biiig update we announced half a year ago. Suffice to say, the project was abandoned by the time the update was announced.

Dude. That's just.... depressing :).

Of course, I don't like people being fowl.

Say no to being fowl. Let the DEV's do their work.

I'm not certain why people seem to think $5.2mil is a huge amount of money for development of a game. I'm not certain what the average development cost for a multiplayer-only online PC game is (I couldn't find any solid numbers to go by), but it may be worth noting that the average development cost for current generation consoles is $20-30mil, with some AAA titles running $60-100mil+. Can games be developed for $5.2mil? Absolutely. This just isn't likely one of those games. Licensing engines and developing art assets alone are hugely cost intensive, as are the servers to run it all.

Keep your head's up, devs! I know it's hard with all the vitriol spewed in your direction by entitled children. If half these people had ever CREATED anything instead of just mindlessly consuming other's hard work, these forums would be a sunnier place.

It was said the ability to choose when to tart the premium time would be added soon, in approximately two weeks. not "launch", not "full version" (there is no such thing as a full version). Soon. Obviously no patch this week means that "soon" just got a little bit further away.

To expand on your great response, I think most people are confused about MWO in the current status of Beta, "Full Launch."

Notice there is no Beta anywhere in the game anymore?

As Russ Bullock has reiterated to death, MWO can now be considered in "full launch" but being that it is like a F2P MMO, MWO will always be in Beta. In other words they will always, and frankly have to, be updating the game with bug fixes, and content update, and general upgrades. This is so that MWO will not become stagnant and lose players.

I have tried the power down/power up 'fix' many times. All that happens is...nothing, I still lose my HUD and can't fire weapons.

I've also tried re-installing, close to 16 times now. I'm not doing it again, it's getting ridiculous.

Every week it's the same thing, no communication, etc.

trying methods that work for the majority of others and having them fail for you on your system....yeah Definately a Dev issue...pfft.

ROFLMAO, as if anything going on in the FORUMS impacts the developers ability to get anything done! That is the most wrongheaded statement I have read ever.

People are frustrated, they come on here to let off a little steam, anyone who is dedicated enough to a game to actually play through bugs that force you to shut down in the middle of match for no good reason, especially when they have paid for the pleasure of being tortured, are really entitled to *****.

Sorry you and your buddies get miffed anytime someone speaks their mind about the game, that doesn't have them kissing ***. God bless you, and your empty sense of self-importance.

Wow, I don't know where this guy gets his information, but a good number of people are PAYING for the game.

"Mindlessly consuming the dev's hard work" LOL, thank god they do all this for free! What were we all thinking?
