Unfortunately most eye witnesses are unreliable. One will say the red herring did it while the other will say the purple elephant.

True. But if I see it I don't have to say anything. If you didn't see anything you can't make a judgement either way. If both parties are already firing just hold you fire unless one of them hits you.

It cannot be tolerated. Justice must be served.

Agreed, it's a personal choice. Option is there to report as well as not to.

anyone else got a story about the morons out there when you pug???

just got a crit back shot from a teammate in an atlas and when i shot him to let him know i was upset he decided to anhilate my mech. then he said i was the instigater. kinda sick of the stupidity involved.

Maybe you walked in front of him while he was engaging a target. You know how many times I have accidently walked in front of a friendly and took a hit? I never blame them for my poor placement especially if they are a slower mech you should never be between more firepower and your enemy, it only hurts your team because he cannot shoot. I learned the hard way.

This guy yesterday tk'ed a Raven, PPC direct hit to the rear center torso. The guy who shot him was such an *****, should have realized the friendly mech was engaged close range and the dummy should have held his shot.

The tk'er was me.

i had one guy, shoot some teammates at the start, so we told him to stop, i turn around, after he stopped and said he was sorry, then im getting lasered in the back, i turn around, he stops, i turn back around he shoots me again. turned around, same thing, then shoots me in the back again, so i nailed him with a ac/20, then he goes wtf, so im like dumbass, then he shoots my leg off, this is all at the start too, once i noticed he actually shot my leg off, i lay into em, and killed him, i had too because he was starting on my other leg. still won the match. but he trolled me the whole time talking ****

A few days ago I dropped into forest colony with two lancemates and we were joined by five others. One of my lancemates was in a Cat, and when the countdown finished I heard laserfire and he reported on teamspeak he had been fired on by a Dragon, naming his attacker. I figured it was one of those accidents that happen occasionally.

We were moving down toward the lake to set up defensive positions around E5-E6 to see what we could learn about the opposition when I saw the Dragon shooting my lancemate again. So I fired on the Dragon as a warning. He fired on my lancemate again. So we took him down. He promptly calls out on global text calling "TEAMKILLER!". I asked him in group text chat why he had fired on <lancemate name withheld>. In global he asked why we killed him. I replied in Global 'Because you were the only fool who fired on one of us without cause."

Mad dogs need to be put down. No mercy.

1. Welcome to the Internet.
2. Type something like "stop this, <PLAYER_NAME_HERE>" on team chat.
3. Just after sending the message, shot any other friend in the back (an Atlas would be nice).
4. Tell the Atlas it was him.
5. Just to be sure you got the message, WELCOME TO THE INTERNET.

Don't know if you guys know this but it is possible to fire your weapons when your thumb hits the touchpad if it is enabled. I like the weapon lockdown idea but 30 seconds may be a little bit too long. Maybe 15 secs?

Then you say sorry. I never fire on a player for a single FF. I know how the weapons can be "wonky" but to continue to be shot upon, "Shoot me one shame on you, shoot me twice, Shame on me. NOW DIE LIKE A DOG!!!!"

In reality after the second time I was fired on by the same player, I turned faced him and asked whats up? Only to be shot a third time. Lesson learned,... Don't Mess with an Atlas unless you are ready to get hurt.

Player had the gall to try calling me out as a team killer. Well yes I did, but after putting down the TK player with the aid of a Jenner, I killed 3 enemies and helped the team win the match.

Very mature. What about some who steps on your leg, causing minor armour damage? do you follow with a tk after this?

I´d rather play a game with 7 newbies, then with 7 people like you.

Minor leg damage from an collision I can understand. Taking fire from a teammate while in the heat of a brawl I can understand. Getting hit in the first 30 seconds of a match before the enemy has even been spotted is completely unacceptable.

I had a situation yesterday where an atlas was stuck on a box and I was 50m in my jenner away lighting up his back when a commando set up about 50m behind me and started firing on the atlas. For some reason this moron did not realize that all of his shots were hitting me in the back with every shot.
Fortunately he was in a useless commando so all he did was scratch some itches for me. After I killed the atlas I took his leg off and let him hobble around the rest of the match.

LOL.
Was the "crit back shot" from a gauss rifle?
Were you in a Cat?
Were you standing on a ridge with the Atlas?
Was this about 3 minutes into the match?
Did you fail to check the hill behind you for an enemy Raven with a gauss rifle?

If yes to all of the above, I think I know what happened.
:)

I have accidentally killed a feindly mech, but never on purpose. Got unlucky with an LB-X the other night one pellet hit a friendly and critted his XL engine. Felt bad, apologized and moved on.

Matchmaker phase 1 is enforced interaction with morons.

If you want to play MWo at all you must play with idiots. On the bright side you don't always "win" the moron lottery you do get games with actual humans sometimes.

all this would be fixed if they disabled weapons fire for 5 seconds after the match went live.....Like Bryan said they were going to.

I have noticed one reason a lot of FF happens at the beginning of the match, I am guilty of it myself sometimes.

What happens is you launch and look for a match, it takes some time so you go to a browser and surf the web until the match starts. You realize the match has started so you habitually left click on the game window to bring it to the top and bam, you just fired off your weapons.

Or teh TK players would just have to wait 6 seconds to start their shenanigans.

Extremely heavy C-bill fines in the first 1 minute of battle. Then reducing the fine level throughout the match would be the smartest solution IMO. Theres only 2 things TKers care about, making you angry cuz it gets them off, and making money to improve their TKing ability.
