It looks like a Jenner and a Bushwhacker had a baby.

Interesting to look at, but my experience is that it's a bit fragile, unless you are a top notch mech jock.

Raven? Clan? Since when? ^_^

This bird has been around in the IS since 3039.

I guess I always thought the Raven to look "Clanny" from Mechwarrior 4.

Beagle Active Probe is a terrible way to die. Missiles... missiles, everywhere.

Actually that would be the NARC missile beacon. TROLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO's all around.

I edited the Raven to look more "classic".

New beak, new cockpit and more green.

;)

Yeah, that doesn't improve it in my view. To each their own.

Are you saying my Raven wasn't an improvement? That's... disappointing. ;)

Don't worry, I'm a well known opponent to the "gonzo" nose, which makes it look LESS like an actual raven.

He's someone from FRR. They like mead and beards, but don't design mechs. ;)

I bet he will love my Raven if I say there is room now in the cockpit for a sauna...

The raven is an excellent recon mech. But the new art... not too bad, but not loveable. I preferred the big cockpit and the smoother nose and bird-like legs.

I think the cockpit might offer a flawless panorama lookout, which is a fair advantage of the lighter mechs. I understand that edges are more easily modelled and rendered in 3D than curves, but we have to get in love with the mechs wich requires them to look more identical and unique. Not like if they were made in the same year on the same planet in the same factory by the same engineers. Catapult and Raven lack the characteristic of some curve, arc, bend and etc.

I will play the game ragardless everything though.

P.S.: Odanan, I prefer your version above the one announced. Make the "butt" of the mech smaller and probalbly I am OK with it. I agree, that the decreasing angle of the nose part is necessary. This is what makes a Raven, named after the bill of a raven. Looking on the announced version, the mech would have been nemed Rat.

Kind of looks like someone left it on a hot stove and it began to melt...

Love it! just need to alter the tip so does not look like a canine snout.

If you just take the upper section of a Raven's beak it does have a pretty pronounced curve like the classic Raven mech design.

Yes here you go: Posted Image

But, seriously I think the curve remnance comes from the ravens head-posture like this.
Posted Image

BTW I don't like where all this is going, so let's state:
I prefer the unique, charismatic curved nose of a Raven mech.
I really hope that a Cry engine 3 could handle that much trouble.

<fingers crossed>

I saw a Raven this weekend. It was in a theater though. And it starred John Cusack.

What about this?

Looks stealthy, looks vicious, looks more like a real raven.

Looks good, it's nose reminds me of a dog's
I think I prefer the one from MechCommander though, time will tell.
