not sure if right tread, but still upgrading a mech. there should be a preview for buying an upgrade for the mech , doesn't matter if armor upgrade or heatsinks. because it sucks to spend a fortune on heatsinks and then realizing you have less heat capacity on the dual heatsinks than on standard just for the lack of space. another thing is that even if you buy a worthless upgrade for you , you are unable to sell it and get the c bills back. the game needs a serious fix on it. even people in public game are complaining on this.

To be honest, I just recently found out that repairs weren't just a temporary pull from the game, and needless to say I'm less than pleased.

Repairs were a spectacular mechanic for the game. Not only did it act as a balancing factor (Urging players to not just put XL, Endo, FF, and every other high tech piece of equipment so that they can fit as many Gauss rifles or PPCs on a design as it can conceivably carry), but it also helped to urge them to play a little more defensively. I noticed games sped up significantly once the mechanics for repairs were removed - not just because of the resulting Gauss Cats or whatnot.

Fall on deaf ears or not, here's at least one vote towards the re-inclusion of repair mechanics.
