But then you have to pay the devs.
What do they need every month?
How much is it for you, when 90% of the playerbase is out of game?
I guess you have the 1000-5000$ you will have to pay them every month ...
Drive the pug and new players away and you get what you want, no playing with pugs and noobs anymore.
Bu this means no playing at all because the game is dead.
Edit:
If you really like this game, do all for new players, help them to stay in, then the money come in and the game go on. Its simple, maybe to simple for some simple people.

I dont see how thats even possible. Even if youre shooting an Atlas in the back it takes a minimum of 2 hits to get a kill. Which is at least 6 seconds.

better a dead game than a ****** one, and that's what they'll end up with if they keep caving into the casuals on BS like 3rd person, and screwing the core players with stuff like MM phase 1

You know full well that you usually drop with three other people from your clan/mercenary corp, which makes it much easier to get the puggers on board - not that your disposition and ability to lead them don't make a difference, of course; they assuredly do.
But I've lost count of how many times a pug team I was a part of has been defeated just because the rest of the puggers didn't listen, either to me or whomever else tried to direct them.
Even when specifically addressed, some just ignored any instructions and did whatever they felt like.
Capture the enemy base which lies within a hundred meters from our current position?
No, I think we'll just split up and chase four distinct enemy 'Mechs simultaneously!
i cant agrue with that, i do drop mostly with 3. and you make a good point, the elo system would change everything, i think it would be for the best. although i dont know. also another good point, some people just refuse to listen. and of course afk'ers.

you also make very good points. there does need to be a training mode of some kind. there should be a system to put high success people against high success people. base it off win rate alone maybe, i dont know how they work. it could be hard for the matchmaker, but every game would be a nail biter in theory. although i dont know, seeing how the devs havent done what seems like a simple math equation mm system, it seems to me there must be a logical reason that it doesnt work...right.

this is so very true, if they had this stat also
http://mwomercs.com/...__fromsearch__1
then it would be very simple for new players to see what it takes to win. i want that instead of damage done. just how many assists did you get, and how much damage did you absorbe.

Also, assists are way easy to get at this point. I can run through in a scout and shoot each mech one time early in the match and then every mech that gets killed will grant me an assist.
I see the basis behind lots of players on the winning team getting an assist though. It's usually because they are working together and focusing fire.

Meaning he was able to (at ABSOLUTE LONGEST) two shot an Atlas in a Jenner. So far I haven't heard anyone come here and report having replicated that.
Yeah at this point taking garths words as absolute truth might not be so smart.
