first at far I see Jenners are op.

They Take to mush punishment for the speed and firepower they own.

a groupe of 3 jenners Will win a game every-time.

lagging running around
doing circle of death.

it is really annoying and ruin the fun of the game.

mec warrior should be a slow strategic shooter.

not who circle the faster the game.

I agree 100%, but it's really a netcode issue first and foremost, and whether or not the developers can do anything about it remains to be seen. Their last 'improvement' on the netcode was rolling it back to an older build, so let's just hope they can actually make it better in the future.

Hit them with weapons!

(I don't find lights/Jenners to be a problem)

Collisions will be a major nerf to circle strafing, just keep in mind that its not only light mechs that can fall down. IMO circle strafing is tactically shallow, and I look forward to more medium range and hit-and-run type engagements.

The lagshield is the single most biggest annoying thing ever, seriously.

sooo many terrible jenner pilots getting good results b/c of no collisions right now. once they turn that back on its going to be a rude awakening.

They are still the number one threat on the field for me. I run a speedy Commando (126kph) with 3 guided SRM-2 with a TAG and have found them much easier then any other configuration. They mostly ignore little Commando dude since they think they can out run me, so I get lot's of backside shots while keeping up. The guided missiles come in handy when getting into a circle strafe, they usually can't beam hit me very well, my missiles hit them really well.

But yeah, if I go down and spec the medium and up mechs fighting Jenners it looks like an utter nightmare.

that explain I deal more damage to a bigger mec than a jenner.

now I avoid contact with jenner to Focus fire on any heavy I could find.

they are too annoying because they just circle you to death or They hug you and make you bug to death.

Collisions are going to screw with a lot of the light mech tactics I see right now, should be interesting to see.

I find the best way to deal with a light, is to not get trigger happy, wait till you get the good shot, once you see it, go for it.

Most of my light kills are from my 2 srm6's slamming into their backs as they run past after a strafe run. I make them think i'm ignoring them, some will start to take more risks, thats when I hit em with all ive got.

Jenners themselves seem fine, It's the netcode issues combined with the removal of knockdowns allowing light pilots some nasty explotive behaviors. When knockdown comes back (it's only gone while they work on collision detection ect.) it will be more fun. Lights will still be dangerous though if they know how to drive them!

For a couple tips, try and use lasers to see how far you need to lead to hit a Jenner. Also try and save your shots for when they're moving away or towards you. If they only do a simple circle strafe on you then they aren't a very good Jenner pilot, so just keep moving and get closer to a wall. They won't be able to circle strafe anymore and you'll likely be able to get a good couple of shots on them as they run away.

I think that the netcode is the problem. Usually I try to steer away from using the OP stuff, but I've been running Jenners almost exclusively even before they removed knockdowns. Even for me it's pretty frustrating to try to fight another Jenner since we usually just end up circle strafing each other for a minute or two until teammates arrive.

I can't wait until they put knockdowns back in or fix the netcode so I can go back to being one of the few Jenner pilots, instead of having 2-3 others on my team every game.

Netcode issues + no collisions = OP jenners

Fix one or both and things will be much better... man I miss collisions...

The best way to duel another Jenner is to not get into a circle strafe with it.

A general tip for any Jenner pilot who actually wants to get better and not just rely on a lagshield is to never get into a circle strafe.

Use your jump jets to force the enemy Jenner to either stop to turn or face you in an angle where you can hit it. Save your shots if it is moving perpendicular to you. One of the best times to hit an enemy Jenner is when it's right under you after you jump over it.

I am sorry that you are frustrated, but the problem with hitting high speed mechs due to poor netcode has been acknowledged by the devs, is being worked on as a high priority item, and has been talked about ad nauseam on these forums. Also, as Warrax has pointed out, new players may be unfamiliar with the knockdown/ tripping mechanic that used to be in place, and the removal of that mechanic makes fast moving mechs seem stronger than they will be once it is re-implemented.

Personally I have little difficulty dealing with fast moving mechs in general and Jenners in particular. My advice is to aim in front of them, and sweep low to take their legs. You should also try to get your back to a wall or cliff so that they cannot get behind you. Sure they are annoying if you are in a big slow mech, but then they are supposed to give you trouble. Light mechs are not just for scouting; they are also for harassing and wolf packing the injured or vulnerable. If you are in a Catapult standing 1,000m behind the rest of your team firing LRMs, don't complain when a light mech gets in your face and makes your life miserable. He's doing his job. This is where teamwork comes in. Get into a defensible position and call for one of your own lights to come scrape him off you.

Circle strafe works. Jenners are not the problem, I killed two at range with missiles from my Atlas yesterday. You have issues like Lag shield, The Mech isn't the problem. Fix the FpS, fix ping rate, leave the Jenner alone. Once the hardware is fixed IF Jenners are still a problem, look at fixing it.
