First of all, it is a matter of taste. I know a lot of people who actually like the animated series but you have to realize it was made for children. Read the animated series sourcebook and you find out that a lot of mistakes in the series resulted as a compromise to adapt the really complex Battletech Universe for a children viewerbase. There are lot of things in the series which I dont like but keeping that in mind I personally can enjoy watching the show.

But we should stay on topic. This is a Lyran Commonwealth info thread, not a discussion about the animated series!

Do Argus fit in with the Steiner mech standards? They were always my favorite, but I'm not sure they fit the theme.

60 is a little light, but it might make a nice scout.

More seriously, I don't see why not. It's a FedCom design. It's a bit fast for a 60-tonner, but it's a close combat one, so that's reasonable.

Unfortunately, it's a 3067 design, so don't get your hopes up.

I allways liked the 65 ton Thunderbolt 5SS, really well armoured and armed for a scout mech

I really hope the devs put melee combat in the game, and the AXM-2N Axeman. I would really like to chop off some limbs! Since the game starts while Steiner is still buddy-buddy with those Davion sissy's, I hope we'll have access to the Axeman.

I joined steiner for its political n strategic ideals tho the atlas is nice i still preffer the dashi it could just pack so much more of a punch but assaults are deadends, medium n heavy mechs will get you out alive :P

A clanner lover and one who invokes the rights of battle armor. A sad day this is. :P

Hi all. I for one like House Steiner always have. they do love using the heavy and assault mech's. (which I love the jokes for recon in Atlas's ha ha. :P ) but for me I like using medium mech's like Shadowhawks or any from 30 to 100 tons. I like heavies and assaults too but I like my company to have some vareity. Shadow hawks or Warhammers :P

Not happening :)

Q. Will MechWarrior® Online™ have Mech melee combat?

A. At this point in time we are not looking at melee combat. We may revisit melee combat if we can design something that is fun and does not compromise the overall gameplay experience.

Sory boy, but the Awesome is FWL build .. although they lack PPCs  - so maybe you can trade 3 PPCs for 3 Awesome without weapons :) and tell them that they have now a lance
