Yep, just told everyone on the teamspeak servers that no one is playing.
They where so sad they bursted into tears... sounded suspiciously like laughing though.

SOME of those people are. But a majority are simply macro-AFK farming. It's a big problem.
If you know all of these afk'ers you should report them. Personally I can only go 1-2 matches at most without losing someone (people in voice chat with me) to a crash to desktop or black screen or other issues. Heck, there are some guys who are lucky to get into the game at all, and if they do its a miracle if they can finish without either crashing or getting a fps bug. There is no afk farming problem at all.

I just don't get it. Everyone has different tastes and ideas on what makes a game fun for them.
These things can include everything including, but not limited it, genre, style, type, platform, gameplay, speed, etc.
No single game is going to please everyone. If this game isn't for you hey that's cool. If it's going in a direction you don't like or you just simply don't find it fun, hey that's cool too.
Why do you feel the need to express how unhappy you are with it?
First off, it's a free game. You don't like it just don't play it or take a break and check it out again later after some new ideas have been implemented. Games like this are ALWAYS evolving and especially in a F2P model it has to be as accommodating as possible to the largest player base possible and as such there are going to be things implemented that some don't like. That's just part of life.
It is also great that every time something gets adjusted people feel the need to rant and rave in 500 different threads about how the game is doomed because of it. This happens even with things like MM that have been extremely well documented by the devs stating hey, before you jump the gun we're making a change, in a few weeks we wil implement the next change, and then a few weeks after that we will implement another change. Yet many moan and groan about the first phase of it knowing that it will be changed in 2 weeks.
This is beta (regardless of how you might feel about the word beta personally) and things are in a constant state of flux. Almost everything is subject to change and everything from weapon damage to 3rd person will be changed and tried out at different points to try and make this game a success.
If you're really that close minded about things then beta stage games probably aren't for you. Wait for the final game release and try it out then. There is a HUGE difference between constructive feedback and suggestions and "i don't like this, change it or I quit" mentalities.

I like that the 8 man matchmaking in Phase 2 does not require matching weight classes of mechs. However, I would love to see multiple categories of "total weight class" (or more ideally, "total BV"). So that premade groups could field whatever they want against other premades, but still have similar "quality" drops from each team.
These need not require full 8 man groups though! In the 500 ton bracket, one team might bring four HBKs, two CTF, and two AWS, while the other team just brought five AS7.
Thoughts?

Its a sad thing when all the Clans, Mercs and IS groups said that messing with the group system would be fine or that it wouldn't matter in the end... But where are they now? there no playing... No one wants to play and the TS3 No Guts no Galaxy is filled with people playing OTHER games that Are NOT MWO...
So are you proud of yourselves PGI? Is this the game you wanted? Well I hope you enjoy it because your stuck with it now... I know one thing is when a development company makes a massive Patch mistake or decides to head in a direction that even they know is completely wrong or will bring the end of there game. They will stick to there guns and denounce anything negative said agained them. Company's don't like to make mistakes, so the best thing to do is ignore it.
PGI your not the first. You wont be the last. But it is probably the most depressing of them all.
As others ave said, this is just phase 1. They are taking a slow development approach so they can identify the effects on game play that each change to the matchmaking system, will bring. The OP and the others supporting him need to realise this and get off their high horses.

What did you learn in phase 1?
How to **** off your loyal fan base?
How to denie happy gamers gameplay who wish to play as full groups?
How to improve the gameplay of people who refuse to work with others in an organized fasion?
Honestly, the people who will pay the bills in the years to come are the same folks that got a big steaming pile of **** for phase 1.

**** with your ideas that would make for a more robust and interesting matchmaker.

A. Know what going on in the battle because of TS
B. I wont get any afks or mindless rushes into enemy base to die 1min in to the game.
Played 10 games to night and 5 of them did over 800 damage in a dragon with the bottom four team mates doing NO damage or double digets for a loss.
OH and I love being the last one alive at 5min in and still do 700 damage.
Its not hard to figure out that some of us just dont want to be with the pugs or have anything to do with them.

but its just used 1 dimensional but still they got a crapload of profit off of it
with mwo it can happen to be a far superior game and it is already funny
give the devs some credit here they can do it
but its more common to get nagging ppl online in forums who play like so less
that they shouldnt even voice there opinion
god 1 guy in DoW2 he playd all 3 parts for 100h inclusive
was the epic troll everywhere suggesting radshit and just bragged about
things he had no really knowing about since he played mostly campaign
i bet in that time but got the guts to talk about mp balance
i see that here too to much QQers who put in to less effort
since they are catered by brainless games like CoD or BF3
were you need no skill nothing and still pwn
dont want to see that in this game never
ever

I would ask you politely to speak for yourself. I'm still here, I'm not an AFK or TKer and I considered the money I spent on my Founders pack money well spent before Closed Beta was even over. I've spent far more per gaming hour on fully released games.
I've never used the NGNG TS before but the NA and EU TS servers are as busy with 4 man groups as they ever were! This may be your experience on that TS server but I will categorically deny that it is mine.
I get it. I really do. You are bored, frustrated with a game you have a high emotional investment in and you feel like it is failing when you desperately want it to succeed. I would point out, however, is this is really the best approach to getting your point across? Emotive, combative, condescending arguments have the immediate consequence of creating instant opposition, if they are not dismissed outright.
Please, do you not remember what the first matchmaker was like? Most of us were teams on TS and many times we tried to exploit the matchmaker to deliberately drop against each other! There were no drop classes, we often did amusement drops of 1 Awesome and 7 Jenners just for the fun of it. (In fact, some of these are on Youtube). Don't project how you feel about those who choose to group up on to those said same people. I am looking forward to the new matchmaker despite how you believe I feel!

Doomsayers always put a smile on my face.
There's lots of players and groups playing, as long as I get instant games I couldn't care less about you pathetic little whiners. Go on, move to another game but please spare us the tears.
