You might be a Lyran, if you use a pair of Jenners as "winged sandals of Hermes" for your Atlas.

The OPs initial jokes made no sense in the BT world....

They should be something more like this:

You might be a Lyran if you consider an Awesome a scout mech.

Actually, Zeus is the Lyran scout mech.

Commando = battle armor.

You might be a Lyran, if there's only two possible ways for you to fix any problem: the Steiner way and the wrong way.

You may be a Lyran if you believe this man to be the very model of a modern Hauptmann-General.

You might be Lyran if:

Your scout lance sets off seismic sensors over five kilometers away.

PPCs and large bore autocannons aren't so much a tactical choice as they are a way of life

You've pondered for more than five minutes the pros and cons of replacing your gauss rounds with solid gold duplicates.

You bought the Hauptmann omnimech for the sole reason that it'd make an interesting conversation piece in your lounge.

You painted your mech to look like it was wearing lederhosen.

You not only have Atlases for every day of the week, but also have Atlases for casual and formal wear as well.

You managed to justify putting giant sunglasses on your mech when they stop a round meant for your cockpit.

Your battlemech has crushed an enemy mech and at least one infantry company when you tripped over some power lines.

If you know that a real Lyran Scout lance consists of Zeus' and not Atlai.

You might be a Lyran if you can't hit the broad side of a barn with a flamer at five meters away.

You might be a Lyran if a Heavy Gauss rifle, or Ultra 20 Autocannon makes you hot

You might be a lyran if your scout lance has 5 atlases.
OP: National Debts make the world go round, check how much debt other countries owe the US

You might be a Lyran, if you dream of arming your precious Atlas with portable version of Heavy Gustaf instead of that miserable AC/20.

Bwuh? Other Houses might sink their budgets into large numbers of small mechs, but us Lyrans know where to stick the budget - into Assaults. You don't need numbers when you've got tonnage on your side.

The 3 preferred Lyran mechs... now this game needs the remaining 2 (tough the chances of the Zeus are smaller after the Victor).

You might be a Lyran, if you believe only in things that can be touched, bought or blown up.

Beïng Dutch is almost the same as being Deutsch and I choose: Hausmacher mit Thomy susser senf? **** jawohl!

You might be Lyrian if you dig holes in your neighbours beaches. ;)

You might be Lyrian if you feel like this guy:

You might by a Lyran if...
  • Going over 50 kph makes you motion sick.
  • You didn't know Autocannons came in single digit versions.
  • You know that scouting involves being really really tall so you can see over stuff.
  • You're not quite sure what a small laser is, but you're pretty sure it has something to do with welding.
  • You assumed that the enemy was using light mechs because they were poor.
  • You bought an Awesome because you had "A Need For Speed".
  • You understand that Firepower is a tactic.
  • When discussing combat scenarios you include the phrase "Black Tie".
  • You know that while shooting something in the back is good, shooting it in the front with a really big gun is just as effective.
  • You understand that light mechs have a purpose; for people too poor to join the Lyran Guard.
  • Your idea of tactical maneuvering is mounting lasers on the rear of your mech.
  • You're pretty sure that a jump jet is a water slide at that pleasure planet you were at last summer.
