You might be a Lyran if after joining up with the Davions it takes them roughly 27 years to fix your militaries problem, and you decide they were to blame for all of your problems.

You might be a Lyran if after meeting a high ranking officer from another military your first question is, "How much did that rank cost you in C-Bills?"

You might be Lyran if you think that ferro-fibrous should only come in "diamond weave"
You might be Lyran if you think that Endo Steel forces your mech to lose half its payload capacity due to halving the base chassis weight.
You might be Lyran if you own an Endo Steel factory and sell to the FWLM because they "Have no idea what the negatives of endo steel are."

You might be a Lyran if you refuse to join player-run tournaments because they won't let your team bring 12 Atlases.

You might be a Lyran if you want Vlad Ward as leader over Katrina Steiner.

I'm fairly certain that it doesn't work that way.

Katrina Steiner - the real Katrina Steiner - was awesome, and Lyran and non-Lyran alike respected her as a leader. :P

Kathrine Steiner-Davion - who took to using her grandmother's name as a moniker, and to whom I take it you were referring - was not so awesome, especially to those who believed in the dream of the FedCom.

Vlad Ward, besides being one of the more despised of the Clan invaders, was a love-struck Wolf khan who, in the words of a certain Lyran-affiliated player, was "whipped by Kathrine's kitty". ;) ;)

You might be Lyran if your Atlas uses a golden Loucust leg as a pimp cane
You might be Lyran if the mere mentioning of MASC you vomit
You might be Lyran if your number one idea was to use your Atlas's hand actuators to carry more Atlases into battle.

You might be a Lyran, if you think that there should be a bigger mech then Atlas.
You might be a Lyran, if you build mech that is bigger then Atlas and you still are unsatisfied by it's size.
You might be a Lyran, if you have no means of transporting your army, specially if you did all the things above.
Even if you are sure, you're not a Lyran, but you had ideas listed above, you might be Lyran. :P

This topic makes me scared of myself, I also may be a lyran, because I think like this:
  • perfect weapon for a Locust is a AC20
  • replaces life support, sensors and cockpit for extra AC20 shells
  • one AC20 is good, but more is better
  • what is weight limit?
And you have something like this as a schematic for your new mech..

Spoiler

nah, the AC/20 is more of a Davion thing, Stiner Locust would have a gauss, it costs more

Actually, Zeus is the Lyran scout mech.

Commando = battle armor.

Actually Zeus is the medium 'mech, the Charger is the scout 'mech

You might be Lyran if you don't listen to other faction members here in this thread except of Steiners.

If your idea of the ultimate 'mech is cramming a ZEU-6S and a COM-1D into an AS7-D

...No, that can't be the ultimate 'mech. It only costs a pitiful 15M CB, disgusting. Though, I suppose it could be nice as a light battle armor.

You might be a Lyran, if you see a Clan gold mech and think that's it's over too cheap for a pimp mech, and think it could use gem encrustation, real rubies for lasers. Finally, a palace for cockpit with built in butler and whole reserve of wine from 1812.

P.S. Hey devs, free idea for Steiner 5000$ mech. Posted Image
P.P.S. At least it will be somewhat canon..

You might be Federal, if you think that NCOs must always fix the officers' errors.

You might be Lyran, if your NCOs in the matter of fact do the officers' jobs.

...at least in the Commonwealth, the troops should be relatively well-stocked. Though we still need to steal the ECM-equipped Atlas from the Snakes for some proper scouting.
