i dont know it its a bug or no but i figure it out why i wasnt able to add mechs in mechbay (button was unavailable). If i go first to save&share this ..then just close the popup..the add to mech bay button becomes available. maybe that is how should work...but if not...for those who had the same problem as me...here is the solution for now ^_^

This is current default behavior. you only can add a saved mech to the mechbay.

I came around another suggetion that would make our life better and easier to work with this tool :

-if you have mechs saved in mechlab..and you want to see what..it will display a list with 5 columns and several informations about the mech. I think you should add in the 4th column where the engine is the firepower and cooling efficiency info ...these 2 are very important when picking a mech...and if you want the max DPS too ;)

thanks.

Hi mate,

now that the specs of the "missing" phoenix mechs are announced, will you include them into your mechlab?
or will you wait till they are out in the open, so parsing them from the game files will be possible?

as always: keep up the good work!

I quote myself... I see it's still missing. Just curious if you missed post or if it's for a future date.

Hey Smurfy!

You think you can fix this? You disable (turn red) engines that we can't use because of weight but you don't about slots. When I turn on Ferro-Fibrous, I often go below 12 slots free and at engine selection, XL engines are available up to the ones I can't load because of weight but they all should be unavailable because obviously I don't have enough slots.

Thanks!

@smurfy,

I have noticed lately when adding Heat Sinks, Single or Double, they do not add to the overall CB cost of the build.

i did not missed that, but i currently redesign / partly recode the scripts on my site and i don't want to add much on my old code. the changes i did was easy and quick so i did it. your request is more work.

just checked this works for me, but it only counts (thats true for all items) the new item if its more than in the stock loadout. so if you have 5 hs in your stock and add a 6th it counts if you at 4 and add a 5th it does not count it.

Hello

I love the mech builder but ...yes there is a but ... how does the 'Cooling Efficiency' as a % relate to the in game heat efficiency as a value from 0-2?

it does not relate in any way to the ingame heat efficiency. and you are not the first to ask that.
And no there will be no in game heat efficiency display, because the ingame value is artificial and not all data nessesary to calculate it is in the gamefiles.

Could you add a quirk list somewhere? Thanks.

AFAIK there is no way to directly convert. We don't know how the game calculates the HE and I personally don't now how smurfy does it although I think I saw a post on it once.

I wonder if possible and by tools we can create strategies from this tool as having a marked area to paint the steps for fighting. And others like the game already exist on the map because they did not like me I will share information and experience. Thanks for betting on the game but think it could be better. Rest of good work. google translator: P

The guy who hooked me on MWO introduced me to Smurfy the first day and told me never to try to work out mechs any other way. Best advice I've ever gotten about MWO. I assess mech heat purely in your terms and have no issues gauging the relative cooling of different mechs. The site is awesome. If I could upload my builds, I would.

I just made a modest donation, long overdue, in token of appreciation and hope other fans of your site do the same. Thanks for making my and many others' MWO experiences so much easier.

my stat cooling efficency is quite simple percentage of heat neutral. basically cooling of heatsinks vs heat generation.

this is planned since a long time, i started some tests with the current drawing engine, but it was quite inperformant.
for my site redesing i started switching the drawing lib, in fact i already ported the maps display to the new library there.
and i will try to add this feature there.
