Firing a ton faster than before? Seems like I dump ammo a lot faster than I use to (not even counting jams auto clearing)

edit: Figured it out. The 2nd shot isn't resetting the cooldown (which it use to). So yeah, dps boost.

Holding down fire double-shots all the time, with much less hassle when jammed

The jamming percentage seems to have gone down as well. However, I only played 3 games so I can't confirm that.

The double shots seem faster to me now. I've been running around with an uAC cat for a while now, but logging in today post patch, it seems to crank out the shots a ton faster.

Definetly, double shot + 1.1 refire means lots of Dakka. I head one earlier, and man it fired fast.

Yeah, as much as I love my ultra cat, she's a little OP atm. I can gut a atlas without having to worry about a thing (if he's not packing a pair of uacs too).

well yeah, it went from 9 dps w/o jams to like 14-15 dps. AC 20 is like 5 dps. Not hard to see why.

And now you have people mounting 2, 3 or 4 of them...

2 yes... but not 3 or 4. no mech has 4 balistic hardpoints except the cataphract-4x. but seeing as they are ALL in the arms, no such luck. at best you could fit 2 Uac/5 and 2 AC/5 1 in each arm. (lower arm actuators)
just wait till the Jagermechs to hit the scene, THEN complain about 3 or 4 UAC/5.

p.s. with the increased DPS you also have to worry about HPS now that there is NO time to allow for cool off if you go full auto.

Needs to be nerfed asap, I put a pair of them on my Atlas just cause the unjamming is automatic now, but I did not expect it to be so overpowered. Played about a dozen matches melting stuff way too fast, there is no reason to use anything else.

Wow! I'm not one to complain very much but how the hell did this get through the internal testing! How is there no pattern recognition! When the community see's something OP, everyone runs to it. Gauss cat, SRM Cat, SSRM Cat, then when the lrms were boosted like mad, everyone flocked to it.

And now, UAC5.

Does this really come as a shock?

Um... The UAC/5 was like this only without any jamming not too long ago (so even better) and it was hardly over-used. I will use it again but it hardly reaches OP numbers....

Ammo problems are common for Ultra ACs, and recoil thowing off the second shot(should probably added).

I wouldn't be surprised to see people going with dual UAC/5 + dual AC/2's on the -4X when all's said and done.

I dunno about before the prior patch, but recently, the 2nd shot would reset the cool down. So t=0, shot 1, t=.5 shot 2, wait 1.1 seconds. t=1.6 shot 3, t=2.1 shot 4,etc With the cool down removed, shot 3 comes at t=1.1ish.

Hi All,

note the UAC5 allways was a good weapon in my opion (if you had sufficent HS), now it simply got noticed due to the changed jamming.
Maybe they need to combine auto unjam and manual unjam (linke pressing a button an wait for the result ~1 or 3 seconds later) or :
a - (press the unjam (stopping al other fire-ing weapos)
b - when it blinks orange (random time) when alternating between orange and red ~1 or 3 sec interval,
note this will make it almost impossile to script due to the fact that no other weapon will fire in the ~1 to 3 seconds (maybe increase to 3 ~ 5 seconds)

but still it is an awsome weapon, prior to the patch I could take out a undamaged gaussapult (GaussCat) head on in my AS7.

No. See above. It's not just the jamming being automated. It's gotten a ~50% increase to rate of fire since the cooldown doesn't reset on the 2nd shot.

First two games I played, I jammed both times after my first shot. They need to tweak it so that you get a guaranteed number of shots (at least 2-3) before you start getting the chance to jam.
