People on premium really should get the amount of time this takes to fix refunded. I know it's beta and I accepted that when parting with my cash but there is a world of difference between 'some teething problems' and 'completely unusable'.

Good gestures go a long way to retaining loyalty. Just sayin'...

I've had drastic framerate drops with this patch. I'm running dual core so I know that's already a strike against me, but this patch has made things even worse. At least before the patch I could play with little hiccup, but now I'm getting framerates in the teens again during battle. I can't afford to buy a new CPU just to play this game, so I REALLY hope they can fix this because I'm losing patience.

Dude, I have a dualcore machine with a recently released mid-range GFX card (geforce 650ti) and EVERY OTHER GAME ON THE MARKET runs like a charm. Piranha are going to find they are fighting a losing battle if they cannot get their games to cater for modest budget gaming machines. My patience is holding out just yet because I REALLY LIKE the product, but at the end of the day I do not like the product enough to shell out for a whole new machine - not when, like I said, every other game works lovely.

Seriously Piranha - this comes before new mechs or new maps or anything. Get it stable on your average machine.

if i can have a decent experience in BF3 and most every other game currently on the market, this game should run... i can't upgrade my pc everytime PGI loads a patch

unless there can be something done about this framerate problem my mwo days have come to an abrupt end... framerates have been in steady decline every patch and now it's at the rock bottom

Add me to the list;

I72600k @ 3.4ghz
nVidia GTX 680
12gb of ram

Noticed a heavy drop in framerate, it's ugly.

Everything else runs great on my system;

From BF3 to Firefall, back over to Crysis 2 and Planetside 2.

I don't understand how performance could be so bad.

It's not even like you can go up many tiers is system power from where I'm at.

There aren't any graphics cards better, aside of the GTX 690 which is a dual GTX680, 12gbs of ram should be more than sufficient and in terms of processor power, sure there are super expensive chips that eek out a bit more power -- but I mean, really?

You can't play MWO correctly unless you have the most expensive machine on the market, and that's not right.

I have the issue as well. My frames used to not drop below 25 before the patch. Now, I drop into the teens when looking a certain way or when the screen gets busy- especially on forest. It happens all the time, and it is very hard to play.
I then remembered that a couple weeks ago when running the game in 32 bit Win 7 instead of my normal 64 bit Win 7, the game actually ran a little faster in 32 bit instead of 64. It wasn't much, maybe 5-7 frames, so I mostly just play with 64. This new problem though got me wondering if the 32 version would have the same stuttering issue.
I have Win 7 32 installed on my HDD and Win 7 64 installed on my SSD. I can either boot from the SSD or the HDD. The hardware and drivers are all the same except for the disk where the OS is located.
Sure enough, I no longer have frame rate drops while using the 32 bit version of Win 7. I have not done exhaustive testing yet, but so far, so good.
Let me know if anyone else running Win 7 32 has the frame rate problem, because this seems to have solved it for me.

No change this patch, but last patch it dropped 20 fps and there's no improvement with this one.
I7-2600k. GTX580, 16 gb ram, Win7 64. Previous to the last major patch it ran in the 50's. Now in the 30's

There is a known Memory Leak bug that causes the "4 FPS" issue after a few matches, it can also cause all your graphics to go blocky. Should be unrelated to whatever we are experiencing at the momeny. Also I think Forest Colony has been bugged on certain systems for a very long time, some people have found help with FC by turning off Ambient Occlusion for the MWO Launcher via the Nvidia control panel (seems to be an nvidia issue). That never helped me personally though.

Any info on the post patch performance would be helpful. Maybe it's a problem with the 560, though Im not sure why it would be.

Well at least it's good to know it's definitely not a local issue. A 10 fps drop would be in the range of what I'm seeing.

Thanks for the info about the mem leak.

Played several rounds today, and the actually FPS seems better for me. Previously it floated about 20+ fps, now its 30 on average.

Running a midrange system, win7 64bit, Intel i5, Nvidia Geforce 9800GT, 4GB RAM.

Tried my first game after the patch - and suddenly it's laggy. Before I had my constant 60FPs most of the time, but now it's quite sluggy.

No idea what they have been changing, maybe a new effect that screws up the performance?

/bump

I would`ve hoped for more offical info/statements on this by now. While i can play np, people on low end machines are fu****. This will leave a big dent in customer perception regarding any following hicups...

So is it confirmed as a dual core problem?

It's an everything problem, most machines took at least a 10 fps hit regardless of hardware. It's just harder on low end machines like dual cores.

same here, before patch i had almost always 60fps.
now its below 20fps when walking and ~30fps when standing still.
during battle it goes down below 10fps.

ive got an GTX 260 and settings all on low.

GTX 260 Overclocked here, and I get the same. Unplayable, even on 1280x720 with most settings set to low. Previously, I was running this machine at 1920x1080 with most effects set to mediumish. (System is a Dual Core pentium, forget how fast. 6gb RAM.)

I'm fine as long as I use my other, much more beefier AMD/ATI system, but that happens to also be the girlfriend's "Sims 3" machine... I can't be stealing that box all the time if I ever wish to have sex ever again.

the high end machines had fps to spare so they can continue on at a diminished rate... us peasants with min spec machines are like chaff to the wheat... -10 or -20fps is life or death to us

it's kinda like the 1% vs 99%

OCCUPY PGI !

What kills me about issues like this is that there are tons of people unaffected (like myself - specs below some of you guys, but doing just fine - no noticeable drop (or boost) in FPS). Why are some folks having trouble and many others not? We know there are issues with underpowered CPUs, always have been... but why would they get worse? And why are many folks with top-end hardware suddenly having trouble? It makes no sense :/

After yesterday´s patch I also got those ugly FPS issue. The Framerate dropped from about constant 40 fps down to 5-14 in battle, sometimes I even got not-moving-pictures with 0 fps. To sum it up: It´s unplayable (All GFX-settings are on low, even the screen-resolution).

Here my setup:

OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional
System RAM: 4095 MB
CPU Name: Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz
CPU Speeds: 2989
Physical CPUs: 1
Virtual CPUs: 2
Video Card Description: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti
VRAM: 1023 MB
Primary Display Resolution: 1920x1080
Multi-Monitor Desktop Resolution: 1920x1080

I have to admit, that I deactivated my second Monitor. That helped me in earlier times to get more fps in MWO:

But nevertheless, I´m sure you´ll find a way to fix that fps-issue. You guys have done great work until now and those fps-issues (hopefully) won´t stop you ;)
