yes because god forbid we use coordination and teamwork in a team based game ...

i mean really..that just to freaking mainstream for you lonewolf puggers now is it

What I stated was true and applies to you if you vilify PUGs as the OP was asking. People that say pugging is fine but they prefer a team for whatever reason is not who the OP is referring to. Since you took offence to my response can I assume you're part of the former group.

Because PUGs do things like shoot you in the back while you are fighting. Just be happy they didnt do it at your cap because they were "testing weapons". They are doing their best, bless their hearts, as they run into buildings. The run awesome builds like the LRM Jenner. They run headlong into a group of 4 enemy and get smoked like crack at Bobby Brown's house. They watch a team shooting the Atlas and then get distracted by the Squirrel and go off chasing it in their Awesome. They fight in the caldera and over heat. They run out of bounds. They do all these things and then act surprised when someone says something. Or better yet they curse you out. In my experience most PUGs are ignorant. Meaning they dont have a clue and dont want to be educated.

Imagine if we had TS... We could coordinate who shoots whom in the back, and who suicides next. :D

I find it difficult to believe that there isn't a lobby where we all log in, then PUGS meet, or we go to the "Premades" room, where things are organized for a drop. For crying out loud, we managed to do that on the fly back in NetMech on Kali. The matchmaking system needs a complete re-work. I'm available to consult about it at $50.00 / hour.

Get it together, Devs. You're tanking.

I like pugging, and I look forward to full pug games. I have played premade a couple of times and it was fun. Ideally I'd like to have the ability to pug with voice coms as I hate trying to relay info via text while being shot at.

I think some of the unfortunate pug behavior that gets bemoaned by the pre-made elitists are a bit blown out of proportion. I've seen team killing and friendly fire(deliberate) maybe once a week. There is the occasional disconnect or afk guy, but it doesn't come up every other match as some make it out to. Maybe a few times a night. Bad tactics, not defending the base, everyone chasing one jenner... that could be helped a lot by incorporating voice coms for pick up groups.

I kind of resent being classed as an elitist. TS is free to download and takes about 5 mins to setup. you can jump on line with 3 other randoms at any time and presto there is your voice coms that YOU want :-/

I just wish I had the same luck with pugs you guys claim to have.

If you were genuine in your concern you'd be complaining about the lack of a chat lobby and in-game voice that would totally negate the need to rely on third party software and community supported meeting places to play the game "the way it was meant to be played." Instead you're complaining about your experience being altered negatively because of a change made to the benefit of the majority of the community. I'm not sure how temporarily limiting groups to 4 is somehow a crutch, especially considering everyone is on a level playing field for the most part. The fact that you refer to this change as a crutch or handicap reveals your disdain for the unwashed masses. I'm also confused how turning a cheek and taking it on the chin are somehow opposites, but I'm not a Christian so maybe I misunderstood what Jesus meant with the former.

Hey now, I'd like to keep my thread civil please. No fists, mechwarrior!
Here's just the thing though, you are generalising puggers like me to be people who want crutches and handicaps for others - I also resent that implication. I don't think these "crutches" a good idea either. I also enjoy a bit of pugging, alongside a few groups, does that mean I don't want to play the game "as it's meant to be played"? No.
And I don't want this thread to be another pug vs premade thread. Help me change that.

As crude as he put it though, that is the misconception and view premades get of puggers. I know a lot of pugs aren't like that. But as I said earlier, when you are trying to work as a group and are forced to play the pug lottery to see if you get 4 good players, or afks/suiciders/rambos/disconnecters it is frustrating and will paint a negative picture of puggers when it happens often.

It's the same as pugs thinking premades join up just to pugstomp. Do some? yes. Do most/all? Probably not.

Yup, and it goes the other way too! We don't want to play with arrogant, self rightous, epeen premades either (cool, nice, level headed, and helpful teams are always welcome though). We would prefer playing against other pugs.

Again, the small crowd that thinks there is ONLY ONE RIGHT WAY TO PLAY! LOL! The dev's have made it clear that they support both Team playing and the Lone wolf! Look it up! Therefore your argument that the way that the game was meant to be played is with a team only is incorrect and flawed. So take that on the chin....Next

I dont classify all of premades to be elitist jerks (only the ones that have made their absolute disdane of PUG's clear). I actually like the ones that take the time to communicate with us that don't use 3rd party TS so that we can form a strategy. I just don't trust 3rd party software on my machine, and to be honest, it should have been incorported into the game! In game chat worked great for DDO, and it could work great here as well. I for one, am not going to install a 3rd party software program to play a game. To have to do so seems silly to me.

I find it a pleasant surprise when I come across a team that works together even though we are all pugging. All it takes is a little communication, even if it's typing to one another!

It was these moments that made me join a public TS server. When I realized that I had much more fun playing WITH others, even if I didn't know them. There are even some who don't talk at all, and prefer to type because of sleeping babies/wife/whatever else.

Do yourself a favor, join one of the public TS servers. You will have more fun, especially when you lose. It's no fun to get blowed-up and have no one to joke about it with.

I like to play with my friends, I'm forced to play with strangers who refuse to play as a team, we get killed and we lose. Game becomes frustrating and not fun. Strangers farm for c-bills, ignore communications, or have your back. Being forced to play with them is ruining this game for me and I'm about able to play two games a day before I decide its no longer fun.

Fix this game PGI - your dedicated players are being pushed away

Yeah, I know that being on a TS server can improve things, the point I'm trying to raise here is why do some people hate those who pug? How is it such a crime to not play whilst on TS?

I don't hate Pugs - I hate being forced to play with them - if they want to play by themselves go for it, but being forced to play in a "team" with them is killing this game for those of us who play to have fun with our friends.

Okay then, that's a fair thing and therefore you are not the party which I asking the question to. As I see it your problem is not with puggers but the matchmaking system, and that's fine. I'm asking my question to the guys who hate pugs because they pug.
