Yeah, you may not like what I said but the truth is that I'm being forced to play with you pugs.

And Pugs are being forced to play with you. What is your point? We all know this is going to change eventually, currently everyone who wants to play against others has to play in a pick up group. "Looking for raid" mode is what we currently have and it could be fun and successful if there weren't as many people undermining it.

People can say what they want but since the MM change this game has become 10x more fun to play. Before, you'd be lucky to see a single win out of every 5-10 matches unless you premade queued just so you could stomp unorganized pugs in an unfair matchup. Now I win 40-50% out of solo queue, perhaps 1/3 at worst. This is called progress. Very good progress. When they do bring back 5-8 teams, they need to only match them up against 5+ teams, filling the empty slots on both sides with pug mercenaries, so that things will actually be balanced and both teams have a chance at winning. No more of that 8 team vs 8 pug crap. I'm glad it's gone. I hope they never bring it back.

The devs also said the MM changes would only take two-week intervals.. Which stage are we still at? I guess people can look forward to MM getting completed around January. :/

I can say though, as a non-TS total pugger thus far, I have personally seen very few absolute stomps for the last couple of weeks. I guess, in that regard MM step (1?) is working as intended, but I thought they'd have it up to step 3 by now.

To be fair, a lot of teams crawled out of the woodwork expecting premade v premade action.

So now they drown their despair with the tears of PUGS. It will die down just like it did before.

I disagree. Spiting pugs is actually the perfect strategy.

Maybe if the pugs start demanding game lobbies for premades then we'd get them.

Are you kidding, PuGs have been accepting of you guys having your own matches from the beginning of this whole issue. It has never been about Pugs trying to make Pre-mades unhappy(if thats thats what you thought, then you are totally missing the point)...its always been about PuGs vs PuGs and PMs vs PMs...but we gladly accepted the comprimise of the 4man max group until those matchings could be made, because it allowed for more of a balanced experience by all in the meantime.

You are a fool if you think whining on the forums has a major effect on PGI. Forum users are a tiny percentage of the player base. Vocal but not representative of what most players think.

Game companies make decisions based on server data. We think we know what happens ingame- they KNOW what is going on. They see the actual damage caused by each weapon, they know which mech builds are being used, they know whether pug stomping by premades is going on. People always complain when things aren't exactly their way- it's human nature. Game companies ignore complaints if the data doesn't support them.

You should count yourself lucky they are rolling out MM in phases. It would have been easier to simply disable the Social button until their vision of MM is ready to go.

Don't get me wrong, I am not one of the "Pugger for life" crew on these forums, I prefer playing as part of a group. However, if the forums were a scale with the "whining puggers" on one side and the "whining premades" on the other, I'm pretty sure the premades have out-whined the puggers by a large, large margin. At some point you need to decide if the core game is fun w/o any addons like team play or the meta game. If not, quit playing for awhile. If so, shut up and play.

You're an ignorant s** of a b****. I just started playing this game, i have no idea about the community or the idea of premades, I came here to find out why i'm losing 80% of matches even tho i score highly every game... Then I read things from people like YOU.

Not one to usually post on forums I'm compelled to tell you you're a d*** and I hope you enjoyed patting yourself and your lil buddies on the back all night long. you think you'll be able to play this game AT ALL without these pugs you mock? Hah! dumb as they come!

Mod's might delete this post, but this guy above, this guy is how communities die!

ROFL sorry, pug Rage is always funny to me. If your really searching the forums for info on how to get better you'll find one of the many publicly post Team Speaks or Ventrillo servers. Most "Premades" are not real "Premades" they are just random people on a Voice Chat. A True "Premade" uses group/Group leader agreed Mech Builds as well as the Voice Chat advantage. Don't worry if joining a Publicly posted Voice Chat server is too "scary", C3 Voice Chat is supposed to get added into the Game so Voice Chat won't be a Option it'll be a Feature.

I love the guys in this thread waxing poetically about pugstomping.

Brings a tear to my eye.

Why, I too remember when I was just a kid, full of hopes and dreams of unending unmerciless griefing...

*wipes tear*

Then something happened. It was those damned patches! They ruined my griefing! They balanced the gameplay! They brought in more players by making the game more appealing to larger consumer bases! HOW DARE A BUSINESS TRY AND MAKE MORE MONEY?! NOOOOOOOOOoooooooo.... I was at a loss for words, a loss for motivation to play an online game seriously that didn't allow me to exert total non-consensual control over other players by force.

Later on something else happened - games [and gaming] was maturing and so was I. Online worlds were maturing and stabilizing into places where all types of people could play and enjoy themselves. I was growing out of puberty. Suddenly online gaming was a place for people who weren't powergaming griefers and I had hair on my balls. I took off my wrist mousepad and jumped in the shower.

Look, I miss pre-y2k online gaming as much as the next guy, but some of you on this forum are hard at work trying to bring it back. Maybe it should stay dead. When MM is implemented correctly pugs will be pugs and prems will be prems. Great players will still be found in both sets. Much fun to be had for all.

Blaming other players for PGI's inability to make quality matchmaking 6 months after the game was widely available?

Seems legit...

I know some of you are taking this game so seriously and circlejerking over your views, but I'm actually here to help get it balanced and focus on bugs. They didn't say they'd release the matchmaking change on this very day.

I'm starting to enjoy pug stomping. After all, they are to blame for the current matchmaking problems.

Pugs whined. They got what they wanted. Since it only takes 4 organized players to smoke a group of 8 pugs they've effectively doubled the amount of premades out there.

Nah, just curbstomped 6 premees with 6 pugs today. We had two premees, they had 2 pugs. But I'm sure they blamed the 2 pugs for losing.

But for whatever reason, PGI diddn't prioritze matchmaking, or CW (which would be the better way to fix this problem). So here we are, with a "solution" that makes NO ONE happy.

I agree with this and I don't understand why we didn't get 8-mans back. I was really looking forward to that, more than a new mech type.

I played a bit today, had fun, even if the matchmaker is terrible and 3/5 matches I did more damage then the rest of my team combined, I quite again and will play planetside 2 till the overheat = no hud thing is fixed, powering down/up is not a workaround since it only happens in the middle of combat when you don't have the option to powerdown without dying (also I hate how it does the whole shutdown sequence if you go to 100.1% heat).

stop whining about teams and join one. Go to a TS server, take 3 seconds to find a group, fixed.

Stop whining about joining teams. I wish both sides would shut up with the useless posts.

It's amusing to see so many of these "oh we stomp pugs 100% of the time they suck we're awesome unf unf unf" posts. In fact there are so many MWO must be having more players winning matches than losing!

Btw, a better-than-the-lowly-plebs attitude only displays your level of douchebaggery and poisons the community.

I run with both a premade and pugs, btw.

Keep in mind only a fraction of the playerbase post on the forums. The players on the forums are the fanatics for the most part, so it's not hard to believe that forum players are winning a lot more than losing.
