The divide between pugs and premades has been created by the previous threads on the closed beta forums regarding pug vs premade.
it really boils down to the premades not wanting pugs to exist in the first place as they are constantly harping on the get on team speak, some get so agitated that a pug will not even bother with team speak.. they relegate them as uncoperative idiots who cant even figure out a voip client yet along how to properly pilot a mech .
thus the rise of the elitism ( i personally consider some premades more akin to gangs but thats another topic for another time)
Getting to my point though, teamspeak c3 or voip is not even needed as demonstrated in one match i played yesterday .
The premade droped and immediately announced they were a premade . and they had a plan . it was to take d4 sounds good so the match starts .
3 mechs started down the g line almost oppsite of d4 directions less than a minute it was realized that these players were obsivously going right no matter what .
so what did the premade do ?
a:) screw those pug scum bastitches and let them suffer their fate ?
b:) yell and scream at the pugs to get to d4?
c:) scrap their well founded plan and stick together ?
Answer .. C.
Thats right the basic principal of the whole game won out over any kind of agenda or prejudices
the whole team sticking together brought a unified firing line to the enemy, which turned into a nasty urban skirmish of streak cats, lrms, dakka dakka, and lights fleeting in and out of buildings. resulting in a awesome game of strategy, tactics, and skill.
and it was made awesome in the end, because we won. Some how a commando managed to survive the prolonged bombardment and cap the base while the remaining forces, what lil was left. played cat in mouse in the wreckage of the aftermath.
While sticking together may not always be a recipe for success it sure does beat splitting the team into two disjointed groups.
and if we all would practice this . our games would be a lot better in the end.
