Dug up an online database about the StuG III Ausf G ('Sturmi') as used by the FDF, which included the nicknames given to each gun by their crew, where the names can be ascertained. Picked one close to Ps.531-13, which was dismantled for parts (on account of being number 13), and which didn't have a typical Germanic woman's name. Looked it up and it turns out to be both Scandinavian and Irish, which is perfect. Even better, the real 'Aili' has been restored, giving me the perfect reference images for its name, as painted on the hull (..Aili..), camouflage, markings, &c. All of which I will attempt to diplicate as closely as possible (sans Hakaristi), down to 'kill' bands on the gun barrel (the torso-mounted gun in the case of the Marauder or on both PPCs if Cat K2). If I can, I'll mark it 531-13 in honor of the Sturmi that had to fight for her country as parts of its sisters. Might tack on a Royal Norwegian Air Force roundel or early WWII-era US 'star-and-bars', 'hanging' off the Rasalhagian shield. All with the appropriate Finnish three-color camoudlage, of course! (I love seeing modern and futuristic vehicles in out-moded colors and camouflage schemes: Red Tail F-22s, JG1 EF2000s, &c.)

For those not in the know, back in the very early days, Freyja wasn't just a goddess of love and fertility, but also war. Half of the brave souls collected from battle go to her hall, Sessrúmnir.
What would be better than to name your mech after the beautiful goddess of war, love, and fertility?
