I had wondered about the different numbers in different listings. Some have I have found direct positions if you will such as for healing and others specific to collecting the dead. Just have to keep reading more on them.

I had wondered about that in my reading I found her listed both as a fate and as one of the Valkyries, considered that it could be another one of those things such as where I think it is Saga that at times is considered to possibly be another name for Frigg. I'm still trying to read up as much as I can on it all so I don't consider myself to be an expert at all.

I've stated this in another thread about naming my Mech but, I have a final choice. My Catapult decked out in a wolf skin cammo with eyes behind the cockpit and will name her "Luna"

On an interesting note, in older sources, when the valkyries are called "choosers of the slain" it's quite literal in meaning. Not in the sense that "Here are some dead guys, let's grab those guys lying on that pile of enemy dead" but rather "That guy over there is carving a path through the enemy, he's a great fighter, make him stumble so we can grab his soul after he's dead."

The were, in essence, minor deities of fate.

I think that literal meaning, when I first read it, is what most struck me most as to why they would make appropriate names for recon mechs.

In Japanese, the word "Kiryu" can be translated as "Metal Dragon". Fitting as it is a mechanical counterpart of Godzilla, a dragon-like monster.

My Pilot name is from Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla too. As are my godzilla and Mecha-Godzilla tattoos.
