Don't care.

Would like to see a better stats though, the current one is lacking. I recalled in old MW4, even the zone stats and NBT league stats were better than MWO stats.
Where is the damage given/received ? That is far more important than K/D
Other info such as most used mech, most use weapons are nice too (NBT style)

it is very possible to get kills while doing microscopic damage. Kill Stealing <a tactic I hate IF it is intentional, with the net code, who knows what is intentional right now in this department>, and Sniping HEAD SHOTS ONLY to name a few can get you a kill w/out doing any significant damage.

oh, and damage received is also in the same boat, as well, the above says it.

Yeah I would really like damage taken, or better yet a % armor at death stat. This can help determine how well you're spreading the damage to your mech, and also give the first guy in some credit for drawing fire and surviving as long as he can.

Oh no! My KDR Has gone from 11 to 7 from all of the crashes I've been getting since the latest patch, what ever will I do when It's shown in public!

But in all seriousness I don't care much about KDR, what I do care about is if KDR is made public people might change the way they play. Scenarios like no longer sacrificing themselves at base to stand on cap to stop the enemy from taking it over for that little bit needed for the rest or enough of your team to get on enemy cap to out cap them.

Working together and team play might become a problem from people being overly cautious... or not doing a push with the entire team just because they might be focus fired and killed and in that a person or a few people hung back or hid / ran away might mean a loss if the other team is more committed.

Things like that worry me and already happen as it is to some extent.

*edit - addition*
I also think more than just KDR should be implemented as others stated before, Assists, damage given, damage given per round average etc...

K/D ratio is fine for deathmatch type of modes or free-for-all but it is a terrible idea for any modes which are team based.

They put K/D ratio in CTF (capture the flag) mode in Ascend, which is supposed to be a team play mode and that resulted in people behaving in extremely un-teamlike manner and just worrying about their deaths. In the end they took it out from that mode (at least the deaths) but kept it for the deathmatch modes.

That's exactly how it should be here too. K/D ratio has a negative impact on teamplay.

well, Community Warfare is <if they dont crush this pillar like one of the others> is meant to be team oriented, in that, the better you and your house do, the better off your house is. add in public stat tracking and KDR worriers, and this game devolves in sad sad ways.

The only stat that matters is how many planets your faction holds. Of course, that presumes community warfare ever gets put in place.

presumes even further that: people will STILL fight as a team after public stats are turned on, which PRESUMES EVEN FURTHER: that they do not kill this game by adding in the one feature we are nearly unanimously against: 3rd person views.

Just get ready for the XvM mods and the little sigs with real time stat updates in them. One of WoT most divisive things in its community is the allowance of public stats and XvM mods. Once stats go public you wont be able to stop a 3rd party program to siphon the names in a match and parser the data to the stats page and poof.

Allow people to hide their stats if they wish. No reason it should be public without consent of the person.

As far as I'm concerned nobody needs to see my stats, PGI collect them and then share them with complete strangers....why?

Haven't we learned by now information is valuable and will always be used negatively given opportunity, be it segregation, ridicule or exploitation.

I am against it. I have no problem with my, probably below average, stats. But introducing public stats generally seems to have a negative impact on the game (take the wow forum for example, where a usual reply is on the line of "according to your profile you didnt even kill all raidbosses on heroic, so you are not allowed to have an opinion on anything"). Taking further into account, that there are already somewhat strong tensions between the "hardcore" and the "casual" gamers in this community, making ground for this new kind of escalation ("what? your k/d ratio isnt 300+, so youre a moron and not worth anything..") doesn´t seem helpful in my opinion.

Sure, go for it.

Bring back to Top 40, Don't matter to me. I play for fun, not to pad my stats.

I should be up to the individual user to publish his stats or not.

Me personally I do not care about stats. I cant count how many times I have SACed myself by standing on the base to keep the enemy from capping to give my team time to cap. So no to me the only stat I look at now is W/L in the end the only stat that will matter is did you take the planet.. so all the other stats will mean nothing.

well you cant compare stats very well at all...

since founders or MC buyers will have always better stats as only premium players.

trial mechs dont count XP so your avg will be lower.. you cant use skills in trial mechs / change loadout so all fighting stats will be lower.

so you need always in mind whos founder whos not... but overall it nice to see some more stats.

oh and they need to add that you stay ingame when you alt-f4

Exactly, one of the reasons I hate WoT is that damn XVM mod which makes half of team go "omg we can't win might as well disco/suicide rush" and the other half go "trololol look at their puny stats, noobs".

Statistics should be public only for official ranked stuff, like Solaris or CW.

Personal random match stats should be either public per player choice or hidden.

Yea I have been seeing a lot more people hang back wait for the mechs to get beat up and then swoop in and get easy kills with a clean mech.

Stats are numbers, numbers can be made to say anything and can be manipulated.. that's why they are worthless to me.

I'm against it, because I think it's another attempt to attract the type of player who won't hang around anyway.
