When clicking on the .exe to start the game, the patcher initializes showing the first MWO logo however does not actually start. The window never comes up, however in the task manager the patcher is listed. I attempted to clear out cfg files, of which were recreated the next time I attempted to launch. This did not change the situation. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I seem to be having a similar problem- I open the game, and click on where it says "patch" and it starts to patch then...nothing. It either crashes or freezes or completely disappears after moving the status bar up to the "preparing patch" point.

If MechWarriorOnline.exe is giving you trouble you can directly run MWOPatcher.exe by passing it the command-line argument: patch

If the patcher itself is giving you trouble, you'll eventually be screwed but in the meantime you can bypass it by running MWOClient.exe directly with the nopatch argument.

Note that if your game files aren't actually up to date you won't be allowed to connect.

Hopefully I'm allowed to share those details =)

Like I said, you have to pass it a command-line argument. Easiest way is to make a shortcut and just stick patch after the quoted filename in the shortcut properties. Another way is to open a command prompt and run it from there...
