My biggest questions are:

How many CPU cores will the game be optimized for? 2? 4? 128?
What specifics can you give about the rewards for claming borderworlds for your merc corp vs claming faction worlds as a merc corp?
What specifics can you give about the cash shop?
What do you think about user cusotomized hardpoints for a chassis?
One weapon per hardpoint: yes or no?
What information on our opponents will be known in the lobby?
Consider a gametype with knowledge of opponents weight only?

P.S You guys are terriffic and we admire you and think you are cool. Super cool.

This is a question regarding weapon damage/armour points.

How will the weapons and armour be translated. In MW4 the medium laser does 1.2 points of damage, TT the same weapon does 5 points of damage. Heat is respectivly 0.6, and 3.

Will we see the TT damage or a "ballanced"/ altered damage value as per previous incarnations. ?

There are other weapons with the same issues, but I chose this as an easy example.

I see that MW4 has far greater armour points too, so will this be the case, or are you sticking to the TT armour values.

While I can understant the MW4 numbers were designed to give players more "fighting time", I feel the TT Weapon damage/heat/armour, will make for much shorter matches, and force players to be smarter in how, when and where they engage. I think it would be a great way to go.

I neglected to mention the discrepancy in weapon tonnage as well. The AC20 in MW4 weighs 16 tons, while the TT version is 14 tons. That is a lot of difference, and could be a major factor in mech loadouts. Since I feel this ties in with damage, will TT tonnage be used. ?

What's the current thinking on player participation management? That is, will there be some sort of automated mechanism that assigns players/lances to battles (a la World of Tanks), will it have a manual element (along the lines of MPBT 3025), or some clever scheme never before seen?

Has any progression been made on implementing melee, and if not, is it still on the plate? Several iconic mechs such as the Hatchetman are, of course, based heavily on melee, but they're also good mechs. I'd hate to not be able to use them, not to mention that melee could add an entire element to combat. Part of the scare factor of an Atlas is that it can sock you right for a large chunk of damage. Additionally, having melee would allow Triple Strength Myomer to be useful when that becomes widely available. I'd hate for tech like that to not be implemented just because we were missing melee.

How will low damage weapons such as Machine Guns and Small Lasers be balanced so that players will want to use them?

Exactly how "destructable" will the destructable environmental features be?

(read as: Will a 15ton boulder explode into tiny bits of rubble if it's casually grazed by machinegun fire, as in previous MechWarrior titles?)

1. Will there be friendly fire?

2. will there be some sort of ammo refit or even repair on maps?

3. will there be meele attack on mechs that have weapon,like claw,hatchet or retractable blade for example?

It appears that those who play as mercs will get a deeper game , I know many are upset with the way Merc corp names will be handled.

with these things in mind will you explain the benefits of the Merc game over the House / Faction game.

I fear that if you make the Merc corps into just another "House / Faction" that we as players could lose some very "awesome" game play

or some how change our effect on the greater Meta game.

I dont really know anything about this, but just some good guessing based on what Ive read on the fourms .

I'm a student of the mystical arts of Computer Science. I'll be having my "object oriented design using C#" final in a few days. I was wondering, what should I focus my studies on if I wanted to work with a group like Piranha Games and/or the MWO team in the future? C++ because you use CryEngine 3? Game design courses specifically? Physics? Math? etc.

My question is this. When will we see mechs like the Timber Wolf in the game? I dont necessarily mean player useable, althought I would love to see this at somepoint, but, more along the lines of just seeing this beauty out there on the field of battle? Perhaps this is something that isnt front burner stuff for now, but, perhaps as the first year rolls on after launch?

Will copyrighted names from other games or media be locked out or denied usage in MWO? Example: a group wanting to call itself "Rouge Squadron" (property of Lucasfilm) or "Snakeskinners" (Stargate property)

Okay, Merc Name question: Will a non-canon unit's name, (Such as my own unit, the DarkStar Alliance), be tied to the unit leader's account? This coming from any random trolls who might take any of the non-canon unit names, just to mess with them.

Additionally, will a unit lead that didn't get their name fast enough be able to file a support ticket with relevant documentation?

After reading a multitude of topics I realize that is not yet clear the following themes (for which I'd like to give a clear answer to all future interested ) :

1) will we be able to play in the near future with Periphery Realms or Deep Periphery ???As moderator I noticed some interest in this possible game choice.It would make the game very "varied".

2) many future mechwarriors are interested in using mechs which unfortunately are part of the list "unseen".Will we have some chance to see them in the near future in the game???At least for the most famous as the Rifleman, Warhammer, Marauder,Longbow, Archer and many other http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Unseen .

Q1.: Can we get some snipets about the current state of the inside tests? What works good, what need to be balanced? What is the favorite type of mech's you guys choose? What type of weapons rule the battlefield of the office? :P

Q2.: There be 12 vs. 12 battles you say, but still won't know how the match-making are building up? By tons, by some kind of Battle Value? There can be uneven numbers in the sides (like 12 mech in one side and only 9 mech in the other side, but same tons/BV's in both side)?

Q3.: Planned to provide any kind of chance for third party customization? Like change the original skins / crosshairs / sounds / HUD's, etc.?

Q4.: How many regional version planned (North America, EU, Asia, Pacific/ANZAC, etc.)?

Q5.: When the regions become differented on support / forum / server side, before or after the beta? (In english: if there be an EU server/version of the closed / open beta, or only NA server/version?)

Q6.: When the regions become separated on server side, how can for example an EU player communicate with you guys? The same forum used by all the players on the globe, or the forums are separated too?

Q7.: How the different language versions be supported? Open-way (for example an editable file got the messages) or closed-way (only the PG can put the different languages in the game)?

Q8.: We need to be prepare for the 1 US$ = 1 Euro issue when we are wanna pay? (no, i not suggest about the Euro inflation :rolleyes:)

Q9.: When we got a clearer picture about what technology is placed in the game, and what not? (ie.: There be Pulse Lasers? There be Gauss rifles? There be Arrow IV.? There be LB-X/10's and UAC/5's? There be C3 master/slave computers?)

Q10.: What kind of balance you have your mind? Wan't to be boost the under-represented mech's and technology, just to become more viable, or stick to the plain numbers.

Q11.: Any plan for in-game trading between the players?

Concerning the conquest mode/map:

Will Steiner and Davion be treated as the commonwealth or as seperate entities? Will they be able to fight each other if they are seperated? And if not: Is there any mechanic in place to keep it balanced for every other factions seeing that steiner and Davion together have more players then most of the other factions combined?

Also will there be cease fires between states that had not engaged in warfare with each othe during the time? (Rasalhague vs. steiner for example?)

In short: Will everyone be in war with each other no matter what the original lore says or will there be factions that wont be able to fight each other for reason XYZ.
