No, no, no, no... don't tease poor Al into thinking he is relevant or that there is a next time. Poor sap moved back to the home state he lost in his election bid thinking he could unruffle some feathers. He'll never be elected as high as dog catcher here again. Stick a fork in him, he's done.

Sorry I cant read every post in this one.Whether Bryan reads this who knows.
Bryan sorry your feeling alittle worked on but you went about your post on merc groups allot like my father use to do things. Before you came out and posted what you did and made a large part of a Merc community dissenfranchised you would have sat down talked to those that deal with us all on a daily bases, Garth( to a lesser extent) Paul and Fox and found out what kind of community we were.
.....Mercenary community has been your guys biggest supporters, we create web sites we tell everyone we know about the game we welcome in anyone who wishes to join us. Through using MW 4 Merc we introduce new recruits to what the games all about, and help others learn about the history and so on of the game.We as a group like to stop by each others team speak and chat share TRO mechs and play mw4 mercs against one another. Of all the merc groups non that I know wish to be The " Northwind Highlanders or The GDL or The whatever, we would be glad just to be a unit in it, non I know what to be controlling interest of it all. If you did not set up Merc groups in the game yet to be joined fine we can wait like the clanners.To read all your messages on that one forum it starts sounding like if we are even wearing the same aftershave lotion as the Northwind Highlanders we will be punished with a name change... Almost 6000 canon units and your telling us name we choose cant have any connection to any of those units? I know you came in at the end saying nothing has been written down yet and your open to suggestions.
....My small suggestion You should have posted something more like this"Guys there has been some confusion as to whether players can play canon Merc groups. I know Graham has told some groups that it will be ok as long as the name is run togther i.e. Grey Death legion can be GreyDeathLegion. Sorry to say for now that is incorrect. I've talked with some of my people who have been keeping contact with the merc community and I understand why you enjoy playing these canon units and how some of you have ties going way back to table top playing . I'm sorry but for the time being your going to have to create your own units make your own way,hopefully down the road we will be able to give you the opportunaty to play for these canon units if you so desire it." (whether thats true or not ).
.....Poll taken in our little group 5 people oldest 68 youngest 32 after reading your announcement was felling we got slapped across the face and will be punished if our new name has even a reference to our old group. We now see house people going out of their way to troll our forums on here. Forums that started out Claiming clan and is units are now poke the merc. I'm sure your a great guy Bryan I just think you could have handled it better.

have to agree you should have filters in place now that dissallow certain names I dont know how many kerenskys I've seen.
