PGI has actually made a great mechwarrior game for people who have been begging for a great mechwarrior game for a decade. What makes you think they would pass up an opportunity to make real cash off virtual pots of paint? I just wanted them to know that we support that idea.

I have to disagree. PGI is "still" making this game. It seems to me the "need" for money seems to be the problem.

You are correct they are still making it. I also fear that there might be a need for money to get it where we all want it to be. Its a blast so far but obviously lacking a whole lot. My point of this thread and poll was to help guide PGI towards implementing something many of us would be happy to put money into. Pay to spray no one likes. Buying pots of paint to do what we want with sounds like the bomb to a lot of us. A good portion of us already do it IRL. I know at least 50 guys just in my clan that would buy every single color as it came out. That sounds like money in the bank to me. Those same guys might pay to spray a couple times at most and be done with it. Obviously there is also the need for a panning camera in the mechbay so we can gawk at our creations.

First time I have complained about MC costs as well. I dont mind being charged for a "wardrobe" as you put it. In fact theirs a good chance Ill buy every single insignia, pattern and color offered. I don't even mind having to spend Cbills to put the paint on my mechs, as I suppose that makes sense and cbills are easy enough to come by. But none of us want to spend MC to put paint ON our mech. That system will fail and I think before they give it the chance to fail and have to screw with it they should just go with their initial plan of selling pants/patterns and insignia for MC then letting us do what we want with it. They just might get rich in the process. There is in fact already a huge president for systems like that working quite well in games.

Buying schemes that I can then color change on I'm okay with.
Buying an engagement ring every single time I want to change paint color. ARE YOU ******* HIGH, PGI?
This reeks of moneygouge.

It's really not that unreasonable.
With that said, paying for a "pot" of paint and getting x number of uses with it across all my Mechs would be cool.

I paid a lot of USD to paint my 1,000 mini collection, get bored, paint them again. Have a Canon Event to run and paint them again. Having a 10-15 use "pot" of paint is way more in line with what I do than pay, pay, pay for three paint schemes.
