Forget standar Mechs, until 3055 more or less the only know mechs from the clans are the OmniMechs

Not entirely true. Solahma units used IICs regularly, and some clans put IIC into heavy use like the Jenner IIC.

Any word yet on the release of clan mechs? I havent played in months cause i am ready for them to start bringing them in. I got tired of the limited IS mechs and all that im ready to gank with clan and show those boys whos boss

I would assume that the Clan Pack of Mech's will be all Omni's then I would say you could add JJ or ECM to each and every one as long as there are enough slots, and tonnage. In the event they mix Second line units in then those ether have it or they don't. Just like the InnerSphere counter parts.

ECM and JJs are examples of equipment that would only be fixed to the omni mech's chassis. Either your mech has them or it doesn't, and they cannot be added or removed due to only omni pods (mounting weapons and SOME equipment such as case and extra heat sinks) being the only customizable part of an omni mech. The rest is fixed to the chassis.

If you want ECM though, the hell bringer prime comes with it mounted to the chassis.

This is how I think clan mech should work out in the game.

1.clan tech weapons cause more heat , are lighter.and unlike the AMS the LAMS (Laser anti missle system) causes heat
2.Clan mechs have a higher default heat efficency to deal with the higher level of heat caused by clan tech weapons
3.Clan mechs have slightly higher armor or (Ferro-fibourus by default)
4.Clan tech is more expensive

I see alot of people complain about how Clan tech would be OP if it were put into the game straight from lore well there's a simple trade off here Clan weapons cause more heat which means 1.Clan pilots have better fireing patterns to lessen the heat or 2. their mechs or heatsinks are simply more efficent. And as for having more armor the simple solution is to have higher than average Default armor apllied as I said things need to be balanced somehow while also maintaining the uniuqness of clan tech and the Slight even if insignificant advantage.

I hate to break it to you ,but I don't think clan mechs have any more tonnage than IS mechs the weapons and tech are simply lighter and smaller like clan double heat sinks are like 2 slots instead of

The Clan Wolf - Replacement for the Timber Wolf was also in use before 3052 (like the Hankyu and the Ebon Jaguar - they were opponents in Mechwarrior 2 Mercs - that ended with the battle of Luthien)
