may be "wiser" from where you sit, but as someone who's not only been about a bit, but seen things that scream cheat. . . in addition to providing site information where specific exploits are developed and discussed I can say that CHEATS are a part of the landscape and completely possible . . . there are aspects of the game that caitier to them specifically, but at least PGI is aware of them. If they are actively doing something about it or not is another thing. . . but don't grind on someone just because they don't know the etiquette (which baffles me completely) when calling into question the possibility of someone using a cheat (be it an aim assist / aim bot / what ever) . . . there are also people who have detailed to me the perfect way to "lag-shield" yourself. So as I said . . . .they are there, it's being done and yes, it is completely possible and would be simplistic to think "no, not here - not yet" . . . I've got some killer land to sell you. . . just PM me and forward $99.99 for the viewing deposit ><

IDK while spectating players I've seen some very suspicious behaviors. At the very least there's a few (kinda) combat capable bots out there.

Neh, I've noticed in a couple times myself too. Only taking CT damage from extreme ranges while moving, etc. Real fun to get hit with a 2xLRM 20 volley through a building in river city and watch only your CT turn orange. Are we allowed to fraps, and post videos for review yet? Or is the NDA still in effect for that?

If so, I'm pretty sure I've caught a few people trying to shoot at me through walls and large hills. One of those ok, I'm behind a peak in Forest colony and there are no scout mechs of yours around to bounce radar off of to keep my targeted yet your still firing LRMs at me moments.

Actually that argument is only like the 10th most obvious. The 1st and the one that Occam's Razor usually points to is that the OP doesn't know up from down, nor how to play, and quite possibly confuses the term "animal husbandry" with "b.eastiality". So yes, there is some validity in what you are saying. There is also enough, in what you are saying, to fertilize a hectare. Rule out the possibility of all else before letting the shadow of cheating doubt to take seed. I don't believe you are performing due diligence here.

So Pitbulldeluxe the proper way to do this is to take a screen shot of the scoreboard and email it to support@mwomercs.com. Tell them about what happened and let them take care of it. They respond pretty quickly and they will look at their stats and will take appropriate measures.

and to all its also strategic warfare to say in game-chat "Cheater"... sometime one be so distracted that they write with a dead .. .. and forgot to fight

Someone in my clan told me that there are aimbots and map hacks where you can see where enemies are 100% of the time regardless of ECM. I doubt it, but does anyone know if this is true?

I usually run a 4LL setup which can oneshot heads fairly easily (36 damage to the 36 cockpit hp is lethal), especially if the target is standing still or moving slowly. There were several times i've seen multiple players standing still and observing the battlefield so i killed them off one headshot at a time. Not really hard.

It's been the same for me. I've been here for several moths and only seen one blatant use of aimboting and the account has since disappeared. I've managed a few head shots out of the hundreds of kills, and been headshotted myself in perfectly understandable circumstances. Most of the time it happened to me was in a Cat, a few in an Atlas. It happens. The one blatant time had someone take out my Jenner from across the map while I travelled sideways at full speed, only to see them headshot 4 other teammates in a row in quick succession, who like me where running between buildings. One time in hundreds of games is pretty good. I've seen far worse in other games.

If it is just CT damage I can believe it, without a hack. CT on some mechs seem to pull damage to it (especially the Dragon). ANd there are a lot of people with good aim

There is no NDA, so post any videos you want. And it does not require a hack to shoot through some buildings, they are not "complete" and allow missles through them. If you can, take note of what building on what map and in which grid square and send in a report so they can fix it.

I have shot at people behind a hill before. I was quite far away and there was a friendly mech targeting him, I saw the red box and started shooting, took me a minute to realize that the target was behind the hill. Oops.

I know that cheats exist, and I think I have seen 1 or 2 myself, but I am convinced that the frequency of finding a "cheater" is vastly overblown on the forums.

Triple UAC5s only do 15 damage per volley. Even 2 salvos will only do 30 damage, not enough to kill the head. The UAC is a great weapon, but it is not known for its alpha strike.

I had a match a few months ago on forest where I climbed the initial hill and just fired a pair of gauss in the general direction of some glowing Atlas eyes off in the distance. Got a kill. I thought it was the Atlas, but it turns out a Commando had stepped in front of him and I took off it's head.

Moral of the story: sometimes it's just dumb luck.
